Well, I often think of that in a society where people get eaten by other people, they'd use clothes with folds that can be let down for the sake of modesty.
Personal preference though, I prefer clothes being kept on. Keep encountering people throwing off clothes for little to no reason. It's a bit much in the long run.

I know the feeling. I also find that a description of the clothes also tells a lot about the character who uses them.
