"And you're name is...?"
"ReBella."
She was tall, about five foot nine. Her hair was dirty blonde, and combed to the left, draping over the left side of her head. The mask she wore was mostly white, and stopped at the crown. With holes for her eyes, and an opening for the mouth and chin. The suit extended down to her chest, clinging tightly to her. She wasn't particularly large in any asset, nor seriously curved. A symbol was on her chest, a blue circle breaking up the white. Inside the circle was an "A", with a line crossed through. The suit became white around the forearms, and extended to the hands, wich contained openings for the fingers.
The white costume also covered her legs, and her feet were clad in blue boots.
Five people sat in chairs in front of her, at a table.
One, a man with red skin and black hair, sighed. He was immense, standing at almost seven feet and wider than any of the others beside him. His body was extremely well built, muscled all over. He wore a sleevless black top, and long red and black pants. He wore combat boots on his feet. "So, what do you......do?" He asked, opening his hands a bit.
"Oh," She chuckled, "I have flight and super strength. I once lifted a bank vault with one hand. I don't...I don't know exactly how strong I am. I can also shoot bolts of energy from my hand. They're concussive force, and I've broken concrete with them."
The red man sighed again. "So, you don't know any of your upper limits? Any weaknesses then?" He asked.
"Uh..not that I've encountered." She said.
"Excuse me," Said one of the others at the table. She had long black hair and wore a black costume. She wore silver gloves, as well as boots and a belt. Attached to this belt was a sword. "I'm more interested in the name. What does it mean?"
"Well," ReBella said, arms crossed behind her back, "I admire you guys. I mean, you're, like, showing everyone how corrupt and incompetent society is. You guys have the right idea!" She enthused. "I mean, we should rebel and tear every thing down, then rebuild it right!"
"Crap." One of them whispered to the man with red skin. This man was simply a skeleton in a red pin stripe suit. "She's one of those idiots who think we stand for something." He said, shaking his head. "Let's just kick her out now."
"Quiet. We'll give her the same chance we give everyone else, Bone Lord." The Red man said. "All right, I think we'll have to do something about the name. Any thoughts about the costume?" He asked, looking at the others.
"Personally, I think you need to actually wear a bra under that suit." Said a woman with green scales for skin. Bony spines poked out from behind her back, and a long barbed tail rolled down past her chair. She wore a purple one piece costume that stopped at her ankles, and at her shoulders.
ReBella looked down at her chest, face going red from ebarrassment. "Is it that obvious?" She asked. "I didn't think any of you guys...."
"Trust me baby, we do." The Lizard woman said. Almost immediatley after finishing, her tounge lashed out, grabbing a fly out of the air.
"Ew." Rebella muttered under her breath, as the fifth man spoke up. He had pure white skin, with no hair at all. He wore an over black coat, concealing most of his body. His eyes were ice blue, and he had on dark gloves.
"How well can you cover yourself at a crime scene?" He asked.
"Uh...never did anything but just grab something and smashed my way out. I don't really know too much about that stuff." ReBella replied, scratching the back of his head.
"That's okay, most new guys don't." The Red man said. "All right people," He sighed, "I think the only thing left is the physical test."
The Lizard lady had her arms crossed. "Who's she up against?" She asked. "White Wolf's still recovering from his fight with Paragon."
"And I'm pretty sure Mechanist took the week off." Bone Lord said, tapping the table.
"How about Nidhogg?" The woman in black suggested, holding her hands apart. "He's been on the rotation for a week now."
The man with red skin sighed. "All right, call him in." Then, he pointed at Rebella as he stood. "You, follow me. There's a special chamber for this stuff."
"Oh, I'm so nervous." ReBella said giddily, following after him.
Soon, she found herself standing in a pure white room, which was a perfect square. It was about thirty feet in all directions, with a door on either end.
Unbeknownst to ReBella, one of the walls acted as a two way mirror, allowing all of the congregated to watch from what resembled a college class room, with five or six rows of seats. All the five from before sat in the front row.
"How you feel about her chances, Strongarm?" Bone Lord asked, looking up at the red man.
"I don't know. Nidhogg's a tough son of a bitch." He replied, arms crossed behind his head.
"Crazy too." Bone Lord muttered.
Behind them, sat a small man with shaggy black hair. He wore thick glasses, along with a white dress shirt and black slacks.
"Hey Downsize," said another man sitting beside him, "You see the new girl? She's HOT." He elbowed the shorter man, chuckling.
Downsize pushed his glasses up. "I'll wait until Nidhogg's done to see her." He said.
"Ah, shit, he's doing it? Girl's gonna get the boot for sure."
ReBella took a deep breath, as the door opposite her was forced open. And in lumbered an absolute giant of a man. He had to bend his chin to his chest, and hunch himself over to just barely fit in the door. And when he stepped in, he stretched, unveiling his massive form.
His skin, rather, his scales were black as onyx. His body was excellently formed, sinew underneath rippling with every flex. He was wide as a trailer and at least eight feet tall. He stood digigrade, on toes that seemed more like talons than feet. His massive arms ended with a five clawed hand. The claws themselves were almost four inches long, and shone wickedly. His face was pulled out in a reptillian snout, two slit nostrils on the front. His teeth, ivory in color, could be seen over his bottom jaw. His eyes were yellow, with two slits for pupils. His head pulled back into three fringes, each slightly curled inward. The only clothing he wore was a pair of blue pants, which was ripped and tattered. A massive tail stuck out from just under his waist, tapering into a slight point. His wings unfurled behind him, wingspan almost fourteen feet long.
His lips pulled back into a smile as he looked her over. Quickly, his forked tounge slid over his lips.
"Uh...hi?" ReBella waved, a little weirded out, she had to admit.
Then, a bell ring, signaling the beginning of the match. Nidhogg instantly rushed forward, faster than his massive bulk would suggest. He slashed with his right hand, almost raking ReBella across the face. She bent backward, almost to the point of falling. As she tried to right herself, Nidhogg kicked with his left leg, knocking her back, until she slid to a stop on the alabaster floor.
"Shit!" She gasped, as the wind had been knocked from her. But, Nidhogg gave her no time to get her breath, grabbing her. His massive hands easily gripped the width of her arm, and with one swinging motion, he threw her straight into a wall. Before she could even fall, he charged, grabbing her by the head.
But, before he could continue his assualt, ReBella raised her hand, which now glowed green. Then, a blast burst out, knocking Nidhogg's head back like his spine was made of rope. He grunted, stepping back; his hand slipped, and ReBella was released from his grip.
"Jesus, this guy's a monster!" She said, as she forced herself to her feet. But, she ran forward, throwing a right hook. She hit the black dragon in the jaw, stumbling him again. Then, she slammed her left fist into his chin, just before swinging her leg into his side.
She swung her leg again, only to have Nidhogg catch it mid air. Then, his other hand went out, his palm crashing into her chest like a train. The would be Super-villain was thrown back, crashing into the right wall. She slid down to the floor, sitting down.
From her fuzzy vision, she could see Nidhogg's massive feet crashing down, as he made his way towards her. Then, she felt his hand on her head, forcing her to look up.
"Thought you could play with the big dogs?" He rumbled, his voice seeming to shake the walls. His tail came up, then crashed back down into the ground, cracking the floors. "You ain't got what it takes, do you?" He asked, as his tail slithered over to her. The tip started to wrap itself around her ankles, and slowly reached up her shins. Then, it whipped back, pulling her right along. ReBella was lifted up into the air, dangling above Nidhogg's upturned snout. "But hopefully you'll be good for something!" He laughed, though it sounded more like an earthquake.
Then, his mouth opened wide, stretching at least two feet. ReBella was lowered down, as she slowly began to regain her wits. "What, what are you doing!?" She shrieked, as she put one hand against either jaw. "This is just part of the test, right!?" Her voice cracked, as Nidhogg swatted her arms away, and she plunged headfirst into his maw. Her screams, even muffled, were extremely loud, though Nidhogg didn't mind. Instead, he smiled as he swallowed, drawing her head into his tree trunk like neck. With another gulp, his mouth closed around her chest, his long tongue wrapping around her stomach. Greedily, he swallowed again, and again, until her hips began to slide into his gullet.
ReBella fought ferociously, punching at his wet, slimy throat. She forced her hands as far away from herself as she could, pushing the fleshy wall in front of her at arms length. But then, it surged back forward, forcing her arms tightly to her chest. The wall of flesh felt like one of concrete (Okay, that technicaly wasn't much to her, but it was still powerful). With a forceful undulation, she found herself sliding deeper into his body.
Nidhogg's scaly face pulled back into a grin, as his mouth closed around her feet. Her body could be seen bulging out from his torso, head just about to enter his gut. Finally, he swallowed, harder than before. ReBella's entire body slid down, slowly filling into the growling belly that awaited her. The scaly skin bulge forward steadily, growing by the second. Until, it finally made it's last increase, ReBella entirely consumed by the black dragon. The draconian criminal reached down, each of his massive hands rubbing his large belly, which had grown to three feet in length slightly less in height, and two feet in width.
"Ha," Nidhogg scoffed, a wisp of green fire escaping her lips, "Wanna be one of us now? Wanna work with me? Well, I suppose it's no use scolding my lunch!" He chuckled, making his way for the door. He let out a rumbling belch, a torrent of green flames released along with the gas.
"Oh God...." StrongArm sighed, head in his hands.
"Told you he was frigging insane." Bone Lord muttered.
StrongArm said nothing, but looked at the others. "Whatta you guys think?"
"She didn't do so well." Said the woman in black leather. "The actual fight lasted only a few minutes."
The Lizard woman shook her head. "No, no, Nidhogg IS one of our toughest guys. Considering she actually made him stumble, even get a few good hits in like that...." She said, shrugging.
The pale man had his fingers steepled. "She has potential, at least as muscle." He said.
StrongArm sighed again, tapping his head to his forehead. "All right, let's go make Nidhogg spit her out."
"ReBella."

Well, this is one of my new personal favorites! :D
Anyway, this is born of my intense love of comics, and my own attempts at writing my own superhero stories. All the characters here are from that (Aside from ReBella). I will probably write a bit more about these guys, at least in a vorish context.
And if you are wondering, Nidhogg is just as voracious in my intended canon.

Thanks, very glad you like it. And I'm glad you like the Black Dragon, since I plan to use him a lot more. :)
