Alma was a novice detective at the police force when she decided to look an old case of some disappearances that were never explained. The few evidences found
pointed to an old, closed and abandoned fine restaurant. She went there during the night, and inside it, in a small room past the VIP area, she found behind a fake wall a stairwell that lead to an smaller underground restaurant. Inside the kitchen there was an small number of cells and inside one, was laying an big Nile crocodile.
She broke the rust padlock to better exam him when she found him to still be alive.Surprised, she tried to talk to him but he just groaned in response.
"Please stay with me. You're going to be alright." she said nervously to him, leaving the cell, picking her cellphone and trying to call an ambulance.
She didn't knew that the crocodile inside the cell, was the aspect of gluttony, a physical aspect of the very vice. He was locked there years ago, and without food, he slowly entered an dormant state, and Alma just awakened him.
While she was distracted trying to find a signal for her cellphone, he slowly get up and stumbled to her. Overcome by his hunger he grabbed and devoured Alma before
she could even react.
While she struggled inside his stomach, he slowly regained part of his ow sense. He heard what she said to him, although in his ow way (that she wanted him to literally stay with her), and with that she caught the aspect interest. He turned her into his "favorite", a chosen of him, to accompany him forever.
A few hours later, she awakened shocked and naked in her own bed, alone. She assumed it to be just an specially vivid nightmare. That until she found out that she did went to the abandoned restaurant in the previous night. Confused, she returned there, but now accompanied.
They searched the place, but there was nobody there anymore, only traces that somebody been there a time ago, but was long gone. Alma noticed an strange symbol above the entrance to the small room where the fake wall was. Back at the precinct she told, about the crocodile she found (keeping quiet the part where she was devoured), but they told that she probably was attacked by a beggar who hit her on her head when they fought and he ran away, and the underground was probably just a base used in the past by a gang or organized crime to keep any hostages they had or something like that and probably solving the case of the disappearances.
They congratulating her on closing her first case, but she still though there was something fishy about it, specially the strange symbol.She tried to find anything
about it, but didn't find anything.
Since from the strange encounter at the restaurant, she started to have recurring nightmares. In them, she's in an unknown room with the large crocodile. She's complitely incapable of moving and voiceless during them. He removes her clothes and when she's completely naked he start to caress her body with his claws and muzzle, before slowly opening his maw much wider than it would be normaly possible. He grabs her and pulls her inside his maw, and when he closes it, she awakes in her bed startled and confused.
Although she couldn't find any relevant information on the restaurant,she kept insisting in finding more about it. She was starting to give up on it, when while driving back home through a different route, she saw at the top of a fine restaurant the same symbol, almost causing a traffic accident as she suddenly stoped her car.
She asked about it to the recepcionist in the entrance, but he just shrugged it off as a simple decoration, but it didn't convinced her.
Back at the station on the next day, she tried to convince her superiors to open an investigation on the restaurant by pointing that the symbol could be proof of some
connection between the restaurants and whatever was really behind it all, but all they did was to reprimand her, thinking she was going a bit too much into the already closed case and was advised that it would be punished if he insisted on bringing that case without an evidence of her accusations.
She agree that she maybe is going a bit too overboard with it, and numerous times tried to forget about the old case, but the nightmares always bring her back to it, and she's slowly starting to think about breaking the law to find more about it.
She don't know, but the obsession with whoever or whatever is behind the restaurant and the nightmares are influenced by Gluttony. He have a great desire for her, but feels that she's not ready yet to be his, so the nightmares he's sending are slowly chipping her sanity, while the obsession only bring her closer to him.
