I like the idea of Patricia very much, adds a bit of danger to being out at night. Makes me wonder if you're going to do any stories with her catching people that are out at night. Though that does bring up the question of is the "witching hour" a daily thing or only during halloween, because the way you explained it made me think it was daily.

Also really like how you made Mindbender show some actually endearing traits when referring to Ani. Also would love to see some action with "the other"

I think I will address the whole "witching hour" problem in a later chapter, but basically, think of the "witching hour" as a roaming timezone that Pat is able to "follow" around the world in order to hunt at the perfect time.

The big thing with Pat, though, is her music box. Through it Pat is able to create rifts through "The Mother's" home dimension so that Babies can travel between two points on Cradle in a heartbeat and Pat's fellow "witches" can go to their designated hunting grounds when the Witching Hour falls upon those areas :)

Nice way to explain it, makes a bit of sense, thougb gives the impression that their home dimension is a sort of Crunched Space.

Technically, The Mother's dimension was "created" for her by a civilization she took complete control over in her earlier years, but none of that has been made public, but only cause I'm still hesitant to post The Mother's full backstory >.<

Well then, better hurry up with that pucture then.

I thought that Mindbender ought to be like all good evil villains, you know, with having a "pet" they love and adore xD

Technically, "the other" is just another Fragment of The Mother, but "it" is a more primordial Fragment. That meaning it does not have a name or "identity" it basically just embodies one of The Mother's "urges". Kinda like how McGraf has The Mother's "hunger", "the other" is basically the embodiment of The Mother's hunting instinct :) The Other looks a lot like the Grey Mask, since the Grey Mask was originally supposed to be an "altered" form of The Mother's "hunting form" (the other) but in the end, the Grey Mask became it's own separate entity. That did not mean that "the other" simply disappeared, it just accepted it's place inside the Grey Mask and is why the Grey Mask has such a stark change in personality at times. However, in this story, "the other" and the Grey Mask were split up so that Ani would be able to "stay true" to her origin story (which you should read :P) and just allowed me to make Ani's story a little.... "better"

I can't exactly say whether or not I will have anything with "the other" being involved with anything sexual, but this story is far~ from over :P

Damn, even your exainations are a story in themselves. Whenever I'm not reading this, I'll look at your other stories.

I read your stories, there's probably nothing you could type that I wouldn't read purely because of it's length.
