Very good! You missed a good opportunity for some dark humor, though, with him hiding in the sewers (i.e. "You are here a bit prematurely, aren't you, human?" "and the following evening, Jeremy was back in the sewers," etc.).
Oh Awesome! I've been dipping into several of your Graduation stories and love the world you've built for them. I'm also really really flattered to hear that I helped inspire that a little. Thank you.
I'm also deeply flattered that you've read some of my stuff!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on my setting: your stories are some of my absolute favorite works on this site, bar none. We have a Discord where we brainstorm, if you want to stop by sometime.
(In fact, "Dragon Attack" might have been the first story I favorited on here! Though it had less of an effect on my setting, since the themes and concepts are a bit different.)
Been ages since I read this, I'd forgotten it existed... quite an interesting setting in a lot of ways... I wonder, did you ever write anything else in this world or, think of doing so? I feel like I'd love to see more. A day in a dragon's perspective of the world...
No, I never tried anything else in this one. I didn't even have any ideas for any other plots that would suit this setting. I'd definitely be up for returning to it if I did come up with a good story line for it though.
I suppose the relationship with the humans is sufficiently... simple and goal orientated that there isn't much scope for storylines of interaction. It's a strange blend of fondness and utter apathy that they express... which I guess is one reason it is curious to read. Makes one wonder how they got like this.

My XBox never lets me scroll through these. Is there another way I can read it? DeviantART, FA, etc?

It's on FA as a txt file http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17267887/
and on weasyl as a pdf https://www.weasyl.com/submission/1054589/duty

I can't believe that never occurred to me.

Interesting Dystopia. For humans at least. This must be a cool utopia for dragons.

This is the primary story that inspired my stories and the setting I've been writing in :) so thank you! I love your work.

Oh wow! Thank you. I've written up some comments on two of the stories I've read so far and I'll have to check out some more of them soon.

Thanks, that means a lot! :D

I am wondering, what size are the dragons in this world, relative to the humans?
Posted by BizzareBlue 4 years ago Report
I think while writing this I was picturing them somewhere between a large horse or a rhino.
