Anyway! Happy Pokemon Day! What Pokemon games are you guys getting? I'm in between wanting Yellow or Blue. I never got to play any games before X and Y (I would level my cousin's pokemon on his games, but my mom wouldn't let me have a Gameboy or anything so I didn't join the handheld world until a little after the DS Lite came out)

No, they fell off. Because I'm a goob and I leave my shoe laces looser so they slide on and off easier.

OH MY GOSH! YES! However everyone I know wants Moon, and I want Moon, but someone has to give so we can get all the pokemon XD I'm probably going to be the one to give... I always do DX

Usually me and my boyfriend get the opposite versions of each other. So far it has worked out, until Sun and Moon. We both want Moon but we're also both talking about just getting both games.

That is one content Victrebell! Can't blame it, though. Personally, I've not made up my mind until I see more about what Sun and Moon have to offer really, but god damnit if I'll be ticked if they don't bring back trainer customization. Y'know... the -one- thing most people would like to do being to -personalize- themselves in the Pokemon universe? Yeah. Looking at YOU OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire...

XD I agree! I want more character customization! It was rather limited, but that was good because I would have spent more of the game customizing my character than actually playing. Honestly, Right now I want Moon and so does Tyler. However I'm pretty sure we'll be able to make better judgement when more details are released.

Haha, looks like you comically fell in backwards and Victreebel is just like "I'm cool with this. Stay there for however long you like."
Yellow or Blue? I don't understand the appeal of Yellow. While it is cute that Pikachu follows behind you, he is a permanent part of your team and can't be switched out. That was a complete turn off for me. Stick with Red or Blue or......
Like BlizzardHawk mentions, get FireRed or LeafGreen. They are excellent 16 bit remakes of the original Red and Green (which was later US Blue). They took nothing important out, all people, buildings, and trainer encounters are the same, changed very little (AI slightly smarter, a couple different trades), all while adding in what was new at that time: gender, breeding, shinies, legendary canines... there's also a flashback mode explaining key things you did the last time you played. For anyone who has the originals, FireRed/LeafGreen are a nostalgic treat with beautiful SNES-style graphics and for those that haven't played the originals, you aren't missing anything because it's the same game, just prettier and "new" features.

Well... The appeal is that Nintendo just released the digital versions of the games and I've never actually played them all the way through. I ended up getting yellow because you can catch more of the pokemon than you can in blue or red, also when I was little and played my cousin's pokemon yellow, I loved the idea of having pikachu follow me around.
I don't really care about aesthetics of a game. While I do plan to play Fire Red or Leaf Green someday (as I plan to get and play all of the old pokemon games that I missed through my childhood) Also the likelihood of me getting my hands on Fire Red or Leaf Green is pretty close to impossible right now since they are not only hard to find but rather expensive when you do find them. While Yellow, Red, and Blue are available for download on the 3DS for $10.

Wahh! I had no idea they ported the originals to 3DS! I might have to grab my old Blue.. but it looks like that one is not in color, which is how I played it on the GameBoy Color that me and my brother pooled our allowances for. It was really only red and blue colored pixels, but he had the red screen and I had the blue! So, duuurn! XD
Also, now that I think of it, GameBoy Advance FRLG can't be played on 3DS. There are other ways to play old, hard to find games.. buuut maybe they'll port those ones too after the hype with the originals dies down. I hope, hope, hope! :D
