The X decides to absorb the least-to-say confusing mind of the Parrot! But is absorbing a mind filled of voices, images and memories when your own is next to non-existant a good or bad idea? Can an infant mind Control a more complex one? And, most importantly... will the result of this merge survive the interaction with the first foe?

Pick up one of the nearby pillows, and throw it at the space pirate. Hopefully, that will cause enough of a distraction to close the distance and engage it.

Looks like we have the first big "boss" fight here and this seems to be something of an interesting set up. Merging with a simple bird may have been a bad idea but it has given this version of the SA-X some extra speed and somewhat of a brain now, abeit simple since it was just a parrot. They're not exactly know to be good at fighting. I think she(?) could win this, hey anything could happen, but its not going to be easy. Since she absorbed the parrot more mentally then with the body, how about seeing if the voice copying part is there? as in that the X can, somewhat crudely copy the voices of others. Worth a try in order to see if she can copy the voice she heard on the loudspeaker to get the space pirate to stand-down and be eaten? its a crazy idea but since the space pirate is said to be a bit stupid here, it could work if the X can sound similar enough.

I second the parroting thing. Between being a parrot and being an X, we should have a shot at convincing it.

Well the X are able to pretty much perfectly mimic the things that other species can do so that was what I thought of with this
