Whenever I see a mostly feral character in a movie I imagine them sleeping in a pet bed, and GOTG 2 has more footage of Rocket running on all fours. So I imagine Peter picking him up a round pet bed and Rocket curling up to sleep - after Peter lies and claims it's a bed for small feral aliens. No to be mean and laugh behind Rocket's back but because they're friends and he thinks Rocket will be more comfortable curled up.

I loved that scene with Mantis "Can I pet your puppy". Drax's own social awkwardness played well with hers and despite not actually having much screen time together it felt like they made a genuine connection... Marvel why can't you make all your movies as good as GOTG 2?

I also liked Mantis saying "The crabby raccoon is so cute I could just die!" Or I think she said that, the audience was very noisy.

Oh right that was cute too! It reminded me of the moment in Despicable Me.

She actually said "crabby puppy...I want to die!"

Having seen it a second time, I agree. It -might- have been "Crappy puppy" but I'll have to see it a third time to be sure. I'll let you know after Friday. 83

Actually, I have to correct you a bit more. She says "Oh, the crabby/crappy puppy is so cute I could just die!"

It was a wonderful and sad movie.

Oh my god you made a pic about the friendship between Rocket and Peter.
I was not emotionally prepared for this.
I'm tearing up, dammit!

Rocket is just such a broken little guy you have to feel sorry for him. He acts tough as nails and he will kill without hesitation but it's all just a shell around an emotional void created by an horrific background and complete lack of socialization. He's finally starting to open up a bit and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes clingy and protective in the next movie - we already saw some of that at the end of part 2.

wow... that's deep man. Bravo ^^
I really liked how Rocket's animation and voice made me FEEL for him. I felt for something that wasn't there, THAT takes effort.

It's amazing that they made him so real and everyne reacted to him so perfectly that you just accepted him as a real person without question. You ended up feeling more sorry for a raccoon that you usually do for human actors.

Agreed. Also Rocket can extend to relate to some who grew up as worthless or outcasts. Maybe that's why he's so popular, at least with me.

This is the most adorable thing ever. Quill would do something like that, especially after what happened in the movie.

I think he realizes now how broken Rocket is. He already liked him and Rocket seems to idolize him so they'll probably be even better friends now.
