The Guardians hadn't quite worked out yet that due to past experience with rabbit-like aliens, bunnies they brought on board didn't becomes passengers with Rocket, but rather passengers IN Rocket. Bad coonie.
On the one hand I like sorta-Nice Rocket, the one with PTSD who sleeps in the pet bed (just don't tell him that's what it is), but I also really like coonie preds, which results in several bunnies making their way through his digestive tract. Oh well, raccoons have to eat too. 83

Do you think that Yondu's constant threats of letting the Ravagers eat Peter gave him a phobia about vore, or simply desensitized him to the idea?

As an aside, I view this Rocket as not quite the same one as in my PTSD-focused story. I am of two minds about the coonie, because I both like the vulnerability of the character and yet really like predatory coonies. Alternate universe counterparts, maybe. But to your question, I expect Rocket has some explaining to do, chances are the bunny turned out to be an old enemy of his or something. He's still going to get yelled at at at least he didn't turn an entire civilization against the crew the way he did when he stole those batteries. 83
