Well, in short, there's an item in WoW called hearthstone, that teleports you home, but it has a long cast time, and any damage interrupts it.
Paladins however have the divine shield ability (yellow bubble), wich makes the player invulnerable for a brief period of time, making it possible to finish the cast time of your hearthstone, and getting you out from almost any situation.
