Letting him walk into the trap isn't a great idea. Then again, there's no way of knowing unless we go in. Tell Ferad to wait outside the door. This way, if something happens, he'll be able to tell what was going on.

No matter how much one would want a sourpuss in the party to get hurt (or even perish), it will be too much liability to everyone to let any of us fall... least till we're in a safer area. :B

Let's have him come back to us and look about the room just from the doorway, seeing if any magical or mechanical traps may be in here. If not, proceed alone cautioysly throughout the room, but only check the frame of the room; DO NOT TOUCH THE LOOT YET!

Creature or trap emanent!
Alert the cat to it, and let the rogue start checking for traps and other dangers.

Yeah, if there is a trap it could very well hit the whole room so we might as well stop him. We've got them long sought after "Elf eyes" so we should scope out the room first. Have Gaede and Ferad watch the door and make sure we aren't ambushed or something.

On a side note, if we really want to cut the cat out of the share then we should just eat him once we find a decent score. He'll likely taste like moldy bread but I'm okay with not taking chances on getting our sexy side protagonist deaded this time around.

Let's suggest that there's something wrong with this room. It feels off. If he listens, great, but if not, it's his choice at least. Further than that, I don't think we should go in.

I feel like there's something hidden among the shit in that room, so patience would see them come out.

On long term goals, we wanna go deeper into the ruins, all the way in!

On a shorter term, I say let's wait and see. If grump cat gets into trouble, let's help him, but for now, my suggestion is to just state aloud "I don't like this room, something seems off, and then refuse to get in there. if Gaede agrees with you, he may come back here. But if he is going to dismiss cute elf and keep going inside, he has deserved whatever happens to him."

Alert him that something might be amiss about this room and to look out for security measures left by the ancients and also tell the human if the haul we find here is good enough for now and after we get away with this much and when we sell it we can come back better equipped to plumb the rest the ruins for the artifacts and treasure.

Go for the greed and let him walk into the trap

just warn him, really, do we want to get rid of a meatshield this early on? besides, artifacts could be cursed to explode if even the wrong person grabs them. best to be cautious.

Nah we have his back for now. Let's tell him that we sense something is amiss. It's his choice whether he acknowledges us or presses on unguarded.
