This does bring up a good question. How close do predators and potential prey have to be to keep them off the menu? Apparently close friends doesn’t quite cut it. And once the trust is gone, it’s gone for good.

I'd say there are definitely some predators who wouldn't dream of eating their friends. Unfortunately for Jessi, Aura is not a member of that group. Or at least, she wasn't around the time of the first chapter. Whether she has changed or not since then will probably be revealed soon.

Really enjoying this series. Aura really does seem to be trying to make amends, doesn't she? Makes me wonder what kind of role Stan will play in the future.

Perhaps. That or she's just working to get Jessi's guard back down. As for Stan, I'm afraid he was just a throwaway character. I don't think he even gets mentioned in the next chapter.

Glad to hear it. Monstrous but sympathetic was really one of the main things I wanted Jessi to be. Whether she will find a way to hunt safely, spend the rest of her course hiding indoors, or end up in someone else's belly will (probably) be revealed in the next chapter.

That's certainly possible as she really does have it coming. Jessi should be very careful if she wants to keep her position at the top of the local food chain.

Unfortunately I really haven't felt much motivation to work on that in a long time. I was also having difficulty with the later parts of plot as things I wanted to include should have been mentioned earlier. My writing style has changed a bit since then as well. If I do resume work on it I would probably start again and rewrite the early chapters to better fit with later events. I might also switch the whole thing into third person as well.

Maybe someday but I've currently got other projects I'm focused on. Sorry to disappoint.

I always prefer my vore stories to focus on character development and relationships, and this little series delivers in spades. Can't wait for the next installment!

Also, do you have a detailed write-up for how this setting works? I've also read the stories you wrote for Combat, which I assume take place in the same universe (what with the hunting hours and all), so I've got some basic familiarity but crave more.

It's really interesting seeing Jessi and Aura try to rebuild their relationship. I love the idea of a pred catching extra prey for their friend.
