Babs' first mistake, really, was expecting a daemon to play fair. The second mistake was not specifying that Serin couldn't use his tail! I mean, it's part of his body so it's completely fair game in an organic competition between them. He doesn't seem very gracious in defeat, either... Oh well, that daemon's lust and hunger has been triggered, and it seems that lab assistant just wasn't filling enough! Babs doesn't seem too humble in defeat, either... Oh well. With those claws raking the floor, he gets to enjoy the slow consumption and angry (panicked?) struggling a little more until that attitude can be... dealt with~
