Though mainly found across thick grassy planes in Ghaast, the Stand Worm is a common predator found in one form or another throughout Agledish. A distant relative of the Living Wire (or Living Vine), the Stand Worm in its neutral state is narrow- around an inch across-, long, and everlastingly flexible.

The name of the Stand Worm comes from what it leaves behind rather than what it does, as it were. They are ambush predators- they hide in larg fields of tall grass with their mouths just below the surface. As prey passes over its mouth, the Stand Worm swallows whatever it can manage to wrap its mouth around.

Swallowing its prey may not be accurate, as it more anchors itself into the ground and pulls itself up around its food rather than swallowing it. Although it sounds as though the process is a slow one, the engulfing of its prey actually only takes but a few brief moments. Starting at whatever it can grab, it will latch on to its food source so that it cannot escape and pull/drag it back to where it can easily maintain hold on its base.

Although a Stand Worm may stretch to form fit its prey, unlike it's "Living" relations, the Stand Worm does not reach transparency, nor is is a ringed creature. Instead the body fits its victim like a large leathery sack, leaving a rough bulge in the form of the victim. Said victim is held bound in place with only the slightest ability to move, and even less to breath, causing the meat to struggle even harder as it fights for every breath.

Digestion starts as soon as meat is swallows (or bagged, really). The thick acids excreted by the beast's inner walls is slow acting, but effective at breaking down thick tissue such as scales and the thick hard scales of the many dino-girls who wander Ghaast. Once coated, the skin/scales begin to soften and burn, causing horrible pain to thin-skinned prey. Thick scales and flesh like the native reptilians first start to more itching than burn. But before long, the itch turns to agony as nerves deep within their thick hides that'd never been touched begin to feel the enzymes working through the many layers of flesh.

On the outside, a field of, say, helpless hunters who were captured unaware of any danger would look very much to a viewer like a group of wildly swaying, jerking, swinging leather bags in the shape of the girl-meat within. The only revealing factor that anyone was really inside these fleshy stalks was the deep agonized, muffled moaning that every girl would be making. The spectacle of their horrible final struggles often last hours until either the body succumb to suffocation and the meat passes out- eventually dying of oxygen deprivation-, or the victim dies of exhaustion. After the victim is fully devoured and digested, the Stand Worm leaves any remains and moves to another location to wait for another.

Where the name "Stand Worm" comes from is not only because the meat is held standing upright, but also because the thick, tough, leathery outer hide of the worms often harden in the sun- baked into a rock-like shell in the exact form of the meat it had just devoured. The "Stand"- like a stand of trees- refers to the small field of casings that are left behind. Often times, if left alone, various animals find homes in the empty girl-shells, anything from birds, to ants, to some other feral reptiles.

It is common that if a rural Ghaastian village finds a "stand" of empty girl-shells, they will pick them from the ground and use them to line entire fields as a warning to others that the danger is real and that you enter at your own risk. Among dino-villages, however, the cases are filled with wet plaster and clay, then left to dry. Once cut open, a perfect image of the victim is presented in full detail- often a visage of agonized moaning with their naked bodies on full display. These plaster casts are then painted and posted around the villages as 'wards' against evil spirits. Unfortunately, it doesn't work...

Been sitting on this one for a while. I do a lot of worm-like monsters, I think, but the bulge is SO delightful in them!! I'd love to see a perfectly form-fit pair of tits or rock-hardened cock struggling for freedom in the walls of a belly. >:D

Dino-girls are complicated to draw. >.> Will have to do a race page for them and figure our a proper name. dino-anthros/girls/men feels... lazy. >.<

Feeling lazy on the tags. Do as you see fit. XD

They're going to be spending the last agonizing hours of their lives squealing and squriming in pain as they're slowly digested alive while their pussy begs to be filled so they can have one last orgasm before it's all over.. wonderful <3

And isn't it wonderful to think that their final, agonized, humiliated expressions would be preserved for all time? A testament to whoredom and pain... no saving them from the shame, even in death. >:3 Almost makes me want to run out and find a stand...

Oh my, yes. I've even thought about that, at times- that perhaps there was a village of a tradition of young women giving themselves willingly to a Stand Worm for various reasons. It'd be interesting to think about. :3

Thank you. ^.^ It actually took me a while to refine it- and it still came out kinda rough. I wanted to avoid the "without a trace" trope I've kinda been following.
