Eclipse had tried to convince Shadow to join him and his dark alien armies on multiple occasions, but the hedgehog widely known as “The perfect lifeform” always refused him. For a long time Eclipse had been infuriated and maddened by his refusals, it just didn't make sense to him why Shadow would act so foolish. If the perfect lifeform where to join forces with the perfect alien nobody would be able to stand in the way of the Black Arms, least of all Sonic and his annoying little friends.

Eclipse was done though, he wasn't going to take no for an answer anymore. The immensely powerful alien had thought long and hard of things to offer the hedgehog; he had given him the chance to rule by his side, the offer to destroy all of his enemies and even the promise of more power than he could imagine. Once Eclipse had managed to take over his mind and control him briefly, but it wasn't the same as having the hedgehog allegiance and this event had rather understandably made him sore towards the Black Arms. If there was something Shadow could do well it was hold a grudge.

Shadow had so far refused all offers, which was why Eclipse this time had an offer he simply couldn't. It was the final offer the alien planned to make to Shadow not out of fear he would continue refusing him, but in a confident knowledge of the fact there was no way Shadow could refuse the offer. Eclipse was almost sure he would try to, and he looked forward to it more than anything this time. It would be a much more enjoyable experience if he put up a fight.

So, having come up with his rather genius plan Eclipse began preparations. He found a neutral location on earth out in a cabin deep in a forest, it was a place that both Shadow and Eclipse would have no problem getting to due to their natural abilities but it also offered seclusion from regular humans being in such a difficult to reach location. After the location was sorted came the matter of contacting the rather elusive individual. Shadow wasn't the type to make himself easy to find and if he truly wanted to stay invisible they would have no chance of locating him, but Eclipse and Shadow had a very weak mental link that remained from when the alien mind jacked him.
The link didn't allow for anything crazy like controlling the hedgehog or even locating his current position, but with several hours of intense focus and effort Eclipse was eventually able to send him a short message. The alien deliberated on the exact wording for quite a while, it would be hard to get Shadow to come to the location as he would be wary of a trap; but Eclipse knew that the hedgehog wouldn't back down to a challenge so he phrased his message as such.

“Shadow, we are not yet perfect; but I believe perfection can be achieved if you are strong enough” Eclipse finally sent the mental message followed by the coordinates of the meeting point. He could tell the message was delivered but he received no response just as expected. Eclipse knew Shadow greatly prided himself on his claim to be the ultimate life form, the mere idea he was not would at the very least make him show up just to show how perfect he really was. The alien couldn't help but grin imagining the hedgehog's reaction.

But now the preparation was all completed and all that was left was to head for the location and await Shadow's arrival. Eclipse made his way to the long abandoned cabin alone; he considered bringing along some troops or concealing a ship nearby in case things went wrong but Shadow was smart as well as strong. Doing anything like that would easily be noticed by him and then he would likely refuse to meet again like this. Just because the hedgehog wasn't afraid of a challenge didn't mean he was willing to walk into a trap.

So instead of commanding any of his men to come with him Eclipse sat in the cabin alone for two days before Shadow showed up. The alien was not annoyed at the wait, it made sense that the hedgehog would wait it out to see if it was a trap. With his weak mental link Eclipse sensed that Shadow had been waiting nearby for over a day before finally making himself seen. It didn't matter how long the hedgehog wanted though, what was waiting for him couldn't be avoided. Knowing this Eclipse couldn't help but grin as the dark spiky figure came through the door.

“Ah Shadow, so nice of you to visit; I trust you've searched the area and confirmed it's just us?” Eclipse stood from his seat as Shadow cautiously made his way into the room, examining the rather bland interior.

“Hmph, not like I had much else to do. Earth is pathetically boring when it's not being Attacked.” Shadow grunted in his rather deep voice. Having decided that the room was safe he made his way further inside; keeping the open door behind him as he moved forwards so he could make an easy escape if necessary. Eclipse of course was no fool and recognised Shadow's cautious body language almost immediately.

“Feeling nervous Shadow? I assure you there's no need; like my message said I merely want to help us both achieve perfection…” Eclipse trailed off, his grin wide and menacingly friendly in nature. Shadow was clearly uncomfortable but his curiosity and deep longing desire for power drove him onwards, closer to the alien.

“You must be kidding Eclipse, you I of all people should know if I wanted I could be done with you anytime I wanted. The only reason you're still alive is that you could be useful to me.” The black and red furred hedgehog crossed his arms and tapped his foot impatiently. “Now tell me what you wanted to tell me, I'm sick of waiting. I'll warn you right now though, if this is another one of your offers to join your stupid army you're gonna be disappointed.” Shadow nodded upwards slightly as he mentioned the army.

“Ah yes, I believe it is time I explained myself Shadow.” Eclipse stood from his sitting position and slowly approached Shadow, circling him while he talked. “You are supposed to be the ultimate lifeform and I the ultimate alien, yet this is contradictory. We cannot be both be perfect correct?”

“Yes and we're not, I'm perfect; you're just an alien who tried to steal my title.” Shadow sighed, not even flinching as the alien circled him in a shark-like manner.

“Like I said, even if you refuse to believe it neither of us are perfect on our own and there cannot be two perfect beings…” Eclipse stopped behind Shadow, blocking the door. The hedgehog began to turn but he was far too late. “But together we can exist as one perfect being!”

Before Shadow could make any move in self defence Eclipse had opened his mouth wide, grabbing the hedgehog by the shoulders and shoving his head entirely into his awaiting maw. Shadow immediately became to squirm and attempt escape but the alien was prepared for this; he simply shifted his grip to the hedgehog's body and lifted him into his air so that his feet were off the ground. Doing so meant that he couldn't use his speed to try and run and gravity also assisted in his slow journey into the Eclipse’s mouth.

Eclipse was in a state of bliss as he slowly stuffed himself with Shadow; the alien being usually had no interest in food but the hedgehog he had been rivals with for so long just tasted so good, he wanted more. Soon he was gulping down Shadow's head and the rest of him followed shortly before his whole body was in the alien's stomach, making it bulge out massively as the hedgehog squirmed and tried to fight his way out. All his attempts were useless though, he was trapped for good and slowly digesting; becoming one with the alien.

Eclipse had planned for this a long time in advance; he didn't just want to eat and digest Shadow, he wanted to absorb the so called ultimate life form and become one, become a family. Shadow's consciousness was slowly fading from inside of Eclipse as he was being absorbed into the alien, he felt like he was melting away as time passed but it wasn't painful. He could feel himself becoming a part of the alien and although at first he resisted Shadow began to feel the power that their combined form held, it felt amazing and he wanted it. Before long the bulge in Eclipse’s stomach was fully gone but he was no longer the being he once was. The consciousness of Shadow had fused with his, they were fully synchronised inside the same body. They saw out of the same eyes and could equally control their body. The new power that came with this absorption was overwhelming.

As Eclipse and Shadow stood up and flexed their body pure energy seemed to crackle off it. Without even having to do anything the two both knew if they wanted they could destroy the entire forest they were currently in with a simple burst of their new speed. There would be plenty of time for this later though; Eclipse had loved the feeling of consuming Shadow, tasting him and having him fill his stomach and now Shadow understood the feeling too. They both wanted more. Needed more. Luckily they had a good idea of where to start.

Not only had Shadow and Eclipse’s physical abilities increased an insane amount with the absorption, their mental abilities had also increased a great deal too. It took a few minutes of focusing but it was easy enough to locate Sonic, the fool was lounging around with Tails and Knuckles at a beach. In an instant they were there, causing a multitude of hurricanes and tornadoes in their wake. The new speed would take some getting used to before they could avoid collateral damage like this but neither Shadow or Eclipse really cared for the people of this planet.

Sonic, Tails and Knuckles were lounging around rather casually and half dressed on the beach when they appeared. They weren't ready for the attack and there was really nothing they can do. Even the self proclaimed fastest thing alive barely had a moment to register shock before Shadow and Eclipse where upon him, stuffing the blue hedgehog into their awaiting maw and reducing the long time foe into nothing but a squirming bulge in mere seconds. The two barely had time to enjoy the consumption of the one who was once their biggest threat before moving on to their next target. Tails the fox had seen everything and was making a laughably slow sprint away in the sand. Eclipse and Shadow merely needed to pounce and they were upon the fox, opening their shared maw wide and slurping him down with a series of powerful gulps to join his squirming friend.

Next up was Knuckles, the bright red echidna actually managed to take a swing at Eclipse and Shadow as they leisurely approached. They casually caught his powerful fist in one hand, bringing their over hand up to grab his other arm before he could even swing with it and proceeded to stuff both arms into their ever hungry maw. Knuckles was effectively neutralised without use of his fists, so the larger meal was slowly swallowed down joining his friends in Eclipse and Shadow's now huge belly.

The two were now feeling quite stuffed, so instead of continuing their hungry rampage they instead sat down on the beach, letting their meals squirm and digest away as they let out a satisfied belch. Unlike with Shadow Eclipse had no intention of absorbing the bodies of the foolish heroes into his form. They weren't like Shadow and him, they were imperfect and pathetic; good for nothing but sustenance and fat for the true ultimate life form they had become.

The two were so satisfied with their meal they eventually drifted off into a deep sleep for about a day. Letting their food digest as the squirms and struggles slowly died down, leaving Shadow and Eclipse with a much heavier frame and a rather desperate urge when they awoke. Luckily Eclipse had prepared for such an eventuality before he absorbed Shadow; in case things went wrong and he had to just digest the hedgehog instead. From his pocket he pulled out three small capsule like pods which expanded and hovered as he placed them on the ground. They were see through and glass; rather like floating jars. Now that Shadow's mind was fused with Eclipse’s he knew just what the alien had planned and he couldn't help but grin internally and externally.

Shadow and Eclipse mentally ordered the first of the see-through capsules to hover below them, squatting over it and spreading their cheeks as the top opened wide for them. Pressing their hole into the wide opening the two began to grunt and push heavily as a huge log started to emerge. Instead of just being in the standard shape however the log was shaped like Knuckle’s, frozen in an eternal expression of fear from when he was digested. As the last of the remains of the echidna plopped out with a satisfying squelch Eclipse and Shadow quickly ordered the container to seal itself and made the next get in place.

They repeated the process of squatting and pushing into the container, the huge log of scat that emerged this time was smaller and fox shaped however. When they were finished squeezing out the shitty remains of Tails the two couldn't help but grin. He looked so adorably pathetic frozen forever in his scat form; almost as if he had been begging and pleading until the very end.

Finally came the last container, which had the honours of holding the now brown and stinking form of the one once known as Sonic. The speedy hero now reduced to nothing but excrement from a much more powerful being. He had always acted brave but now the world would be able to see his expression of terror as he was digested and turned into a life-sized log of poop.

Having taken care of their most hated foes Eclipse and Shadow proceeded to summon the rest of the Black Arms and conquer the Earth with ease. At first it seemed like resistance would be put up by the remaining friends of Sonic. Amy, Rouge and the robotic Omega all seemed will to fight until Shadow and Eclipse paid them all a visit and showed them the contained remains of their friends they abandoned all hope of fighting back. Instead becoming slaves for the vastly superior force who they now knew could reduce them to floating piles of excrement in the blink of an eye. Eclipse and Shadow ruled over the earth as the ultimate life form, complete and utter perfection eating whenever and whoever they wanted. They always kept the floating containers next to them at all times, both to remind them of their victory and to remind all who dared oppose them what they could do.
