The vote is to attack. As such, Galya cooks up an audacious, illusion-heavy plan to try to get close and poison... well, at least one person. She also adds her own wrinkle to the plan because of how jittery poor Mayonne is, one the elf likely doesn't consciously appreciate...

Galya the Champion
Qualities: Devourer, Silvertongue, Social Butterfly, Touch-Empath?
The Vote: Galya's path is set, for now. So let's pull back just a little. As I've hinted at a few times, the demons were, in fact, planning on trying to ambush and capture some Champions- notably Li, Galya's orcish friend. I'm going to put it to a reader vote, though. Did the demons...
Option A: Completely whiff. No Champion got taken alive, and the fighting's already raised some alarms back at base.
Option B: Grabbed one or two champions, killed one or two, but lost a number of irreplaceable fighters at the same time. Note that if you pick this one, please make a point to note if you want Li to be one of the captives.
Option C: Full grab. More than a half dozen champions are now in the demons' clutches, and the capital's none the wiser yet.
Note that it will probably take a while for them all to be properly housebroken- at least, without the aid of tools such as that leash- so a vote for B or C is not necessarily going to mean that hostile brainwashed Champions are going to dive in through the window and attack Galya during the wedding! :D

I like the idea that Galya's performance in the field has been head and shoulders over that which could halfway reasonably been expected of her given her training scores. Unfortunately, it's not enough to raise yourself up, you also have to tear everybody else down.
Option D: Not only have multiple Champions been taken alive, this isn't the first time demons have tried (and succeeded).

Option C, Full grab! The demons plans are more nefarious, and far reaching, then we ever imagined!

So... It's been one week since we left the order and made our way to the duchy. Three days since we had the dinner party and learned about the demons. And yesterday, we were feinting death to learn more and miraculously survived a demon attack. (kudos if anyone got the reference.)
Given that we are a relatively new champion, who almost failed the orders final trial to the point that our friend was willing to help us pass, and we were considered one of the weaker of the order recruits. And yet, in the span of a mere three days we've slain an inside agent along with four demons with only two giving us any real trouble and thrown their entire plan entire turmoil. In all honesty I'm surprised the demons aren't having more issues.
I really want to say option A given that the champions these demons have been trying to capture have, no doubt, way more experience then Gayla, and are most likely much better at combat than her. But at the same time, the demons appear to try avoid confrontation and use tricks, powerful magicks, and agents to try and capture champions. So I'd go with option B as it seems to be the most believable given their struggles with Gayla. I'd say they most likely have Joanna and maybe another champion, but any more and it would be hard to believe. I'd also say that some of their action might have drawn some unwanted attention as it seems many of their plans have been rushed and they might have left one too many loose ends that could cause some questions to arise.
As for Li, ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh like I pointed out earlier its only been a week since we left the order, Li included. So I find it hard to believe that the demons would single her out.

There are a few ways to look at it. Yeah, Galya's new at all this, and had unpromising training, and has still been beating up demons. So, either she's actually blossomed once she got to really fight and is way, way better than expected, or the demons aren't that good if they're not executing one of their own schemes, or they have some secret weapon. Which vote wins this kind of calibrates the magnitude of the mystery of why things are going on the way they are, but I'll still be figuring out/writing/revealing the exact reasons, if that makes sense!

Ah, I got you. That's an interesting way to tell the story, I can dig it.

I'm going to go with option B. A few Champions can be rescued here, and the capital know's something is wrong. And while we're at it, I say sure, let's say Li is there. While orcs in D&D have a bad history of having poor will saves, I say let's take the risk and try to enlist our academy buddy for plot thread's sake(plus this isn't really D&D), though Vasha might have better self control.

Option A. Champions are too tough

Option B: Champions are only so tough, and even though Galya's gotten lucky, they've almost gotten her already a few times. And of course, Li should be there.
