Gif from the 1984 laserdisc game Super Don Quix-ote. Much like Dragons Lair and Ninja Hyate this was a cartoon style arcade game.
Here is one of Don's many bemusing deaths. This one by giant snake. As well as munched by tomb imps, coiled up multiple times by seaserpents and chomped by a dragon. Also Isabella, the girl he is trying to save from a witch ends up suspended over a bubbling cauldron.

Ah those old animated Dragons Lair style games were great for bad end/vore fodder, it's a pity more did not star female characters ;)

Time Gal was great but that was about it though to my knowledge, just that and a couple bad ends from Space Ace when the girl was with the main character.
