I did, and I guess it makes sense in the context of it :P Doesn’t make the end result less disappointing D: I’d been looking forwards to seeing her cooked for a long long time (as have many other fans of yours, I’m sure) and for this to be the ending we get for her, burnt and gross rather than a beautiful roast is quite underwhelming and disappointing.
I’d still pay for it because there’s some good in-process cooking scenes (I don’t care for the oral stuff, not my thing) but the final meal is what a lot of people like to see, just as much as the prep and cooking itself. Or maybe it’s just me. Oh well. Having the burnt pics would have been more okay in my opinion if there had also been versions of the same pics that were properly cooked. I know that’s obviously more work for you, and I don’t know how much it takes even just to reskin/color something, could take days for all I know.
Unrelated question, why was this set submitted twice, just out of curiosity?

reworking the burnt skin wouldn't take days, but at least an hour. what would take a few days is the re-rendering. i'll think about doing maybe some alternative versions, we'll see.
as to your question: i have no idea what happened. i just noticed that yesterday after uploading the episode 16 update pic.
if you look at the upload-time, the two were uploaded with only a minute in between. probably some upload error occurred and caused this. it's possible i'll remove one version

oh and regarding the ending: i thought i'd be rather funny to have this final picture with the "trombone outtro" in the end. sry you found it disappointing instead

Some things just work better in your head :P If it was an animated short it would be funny, I guess. But seeing as I just wanted to see some roasted cub girl, I just feel as though I've been bamboozled :c

I actually enjoyed the ending, it was a nice touch and different from the usual. Your explanation also worked nicely too because it still happened and wasn't retconned by the type of ending you used.
I've also missed the text/dialogue/stories you often included in your packs b/c it adds another layer of enjoyment to it (personally). So having a little bit in this one was nice to see.
