Hymn is an Aasimar, born of a celestial lineage, and he is a warlock necromancer patroned to a minor Angel. Being blessed by this angel via his birth, he was born with wings, a vestigial tail, and blue hair. The angel in question who he is dedicated to is Eremiel, an angel of the underworld and the purification of sins, and Hymn also possesses powers of purification, however, these powers manifest a sort of “celestial hunger” which has given him the power to devour beings, sometimes twice his own size, whole. Once they are inside him, whatever he has eaten will be purified of any evil or ill will and digested. Depending on the size of the creature he eats the process could take hours or it could take days ~ because he cannot completely destroy a being with his purity, Hymn is often left with the bones those he “saves” and he uses them to create a sort of blessed undead, often as bodyguards and fighting companions because devouring someone (or multiple someones) often makes it hard for him to fight at close range or without magic because of how full he becomes. Those he wishes to “save” must be eaten alive and whole for his “celestial hunger” to be fully effective. His wings are functional, but he is often too weighed down by his full belly to be successful. Only certain creatures (like fiends, teiflings, or other demonic beings) cause him to really gain weight, and it is usually centered around his stomach, and is typically easily worked off. He’s also got kind of a Buddha thing going on where if you cross paths with him while he is still “purifying” something, you may ask to rub his belly and revive a blessing ~
(Obviously Hymn wouldn’t really work as an actual dnd character but I love unusual pred like angels and unexpected things :3)
