This is my half of an art trade with IrateLiterate , a story where a nurse responds to a "Code Pink" (missing infant) alarm in her hospital, only to discover that she's the one the mother is looking for.
Backers to my Patreon have seen most of this already, as I posted the nearly-finished draft there several days ago, but do read it again even if you saw it then - I made a few tweaks in the final polish stage.

not gonna lie, this story is VERY weird even by eka standards lol, i have no idea what's going on here

Yeah, this is an odd one - the request was for a pred with reality-warping powers, and those go weird really quickly. Fun to write though. :)

Well, the good news is that my lack of posts here is just because I haven’t had enough time to finish anything in a while, not because I’m locking up any of my stories on Patreon. I’m still planning to post everything other than comics or ebooks that I sell outright to the Portal here when I finish them, just like I’ve been doing for the past few years.
What goes up on Patreon is the next-to-last draft - since I try and set any finished story aside for a few days to get some distance from it before I do final edits, I figured I’d give backers an early look at those drafts. And for some backer levels, I’m also posting assorted draft fragments of stories and comic projects that stalled out and aren’t really in shape for posting publicly, but might be fun for some people to see..

I liked this one too. The setup threw me off a bit at first: just seemed like too many mistakes or coincidences at the start (to declare Code Pink for someone who didn't have a baby with them on arrival).

Glad you liked it! That part of the setup was tricky, but it’s how the commissioner wanted the story done, so I rolled with it as best as I could.
