You weren't too far off with Winx Club tbh. They're both Italian and I would bet my best goat whichever was second heavily referenced/was inspired by whichever one came first.

Lord Cedric (the character in the image here) is in a romantic relationship with a shapeshifter called Miranda. Miranda only have one form she goes into (that I can think of) that looks like a little girl. I figure you want to know that before seeing something you didn't want to.
