While I know you're using someone else's character, I still find the mix of Grecian-style sphinx with more Egyptian human-part aesthetic interesting.

Thats funny because thats her whole thing. Basically she is of persian/hellenic origins given her name, but shes adamant that shes egyptian (and not like the ptolemy's that were greeks)and that shes the real deal from the legends despite being terrible at riddles.

Claiming both of those is in itself contradictory, since the "riddle of the sphinx" thing is purely Greek. Also, the word 'sphinx' is Greek. Based on some research I did when I was thinking about making an Egypt-inspired fantasy setting, no one actually knows what the ancient Egyptians called such hybrid creatures prior to Greek influence.
