You've been travelling with your night elf companion for several days during this adventure now. You've known one another for years, and occasionally, adventures go awry. Relda, a very good fighter, lost her sword, and you're heading back to a friendly outpost to return to Eastern Kingdoms.

“Is it much further?” She asks, sounding bothered. The water ran out this morning, but you are somewhat near the Alliance controlled port. “You're the ranger, you should be able to tell.

You nod. It is indeed nearing the end of this annoying journey. You'll likely spend a few days apart when you get home – tensions are rising between you two, and it's better to relax back at Stormwind rather than have a falling out.

As you carry on through the Barrens, you try talking about something else

“That big Void Elf was around here recently, I heard” you say. “It'd be nice if she showed up... she could just carry us home, huh?” You say with a smile. It seems to work, Relda smiles back.

“That'd be great. She's been keeping the Horde in check... I'm amazed how few we've seen on their own continent. That Troll this morning was following us a while... But I think she got the idea.”

Relda shrugs, then sighs happily. “Thank goodness the sun is hiding away, it's too damn hot”

You look around... this is a very, very localised shade that's appeared out of nowhere. “Relda-” you start, but as she looks around, a gigantic blue hand falls from the sky, and effortlessly grabs your friend! You draw your bow and quickly fire off an arrow, but it bounces from the dense flesh.

You can only watch as Relda is lifted away... and following her, you see a nightborne at a size that rivals Lainara! But, from the looks of it, this is strictly an enemy.

Relda is carefully stuffed between the giantesses purple lips. She calls for you to help her... but what can you do. You spot her other hand coming down for you next.. and you're spared the sight, but not the sound, of your friend being swallowed alive.

Bought up to her face, you barely catch a glimpse of a bulge in her neck, rapidly falling downwards. Then, she address you in perfectly spoken common.

“I take no pleasure in this, Human. However, as long as your Void Elf is roaming our lands, devouring our people, then it is only just that one of us does the same” She explains in a rather soft tone. You don't really listen, staring at the maw as it speaks. You fear what's coming...

“For the Horde” the Nightborne says softly, then parts her lips wide. Trapped in her hand, there's not a whole lot you can do. Wiggling, trying to get free, as you're bought to the awaiting mouth. Landing on her soft tongue, you can hear shouting from the back of her throat. Relda is cursing and crying for help, but it's drowned out by an echoing gurgle.

Then, darkness. You feel yourself slipping further in, less of your body able to move. Wasting no more time tasting your flavourless armour, she swallows you, entirely, sending you plummeting down, head first into doom.

You fall into a wet, lumpy chamber. Your eyes quickly find the glows of Relda's own.

“What's happening Relda? I can't see!” You say, fumbling before holding onto her.

“There's bones in here... an awful lot of bones, skulls...” She begins, then holding you close as she whimpers nervously.

You, like so many others it seems, are destined to feed the enemy...
