I much enjoy stories where the protagonists have a chance to die, but the reader should not expect them to die even as the series goes on.

This was quite the slice of life chapter. Judging from the description and the calmness of this chapter (other than the smut), the next one is going to be one hell of a ride, maybe because of that memory spell.

I was thinking the same thing. A apparently experimental memory spell at that. Our author-senpai is cooking up something nefarious.

Surprise. It's still a matter of how far back they actually are, but they might be closer to Nadalia and Lauren's first meeting than expected.
