After Levi escapes the belly of the beast, the Kraken goes into a possessive rage due to misunderstood feelings for its prey and rampages after the him, causing the oceans to broil into lurching storms, crashing down oceanic fury upon all in his wake.

Levi, having made his way to an old shipwreck site with the help of his dear friend Eren, manages to find a barely usable boat that would only need a few hours of patching up to be seaworthy again, and begins work to repair it, mind still muddled from the harsh swap from gurgling depths to fresh ocean air.

As the sun sets Eren scouts a strange storm brewing in from the direction they had fled, and much to his displeasure Levi knows that they are about to be reunited with his captor once again.
However this time, as he conceals an old dagger within his boot, Levi tells Eren to take his life boat and sail back to mainland, telling the pup lies about his plan to trick and escape the titanic monstrosity.

His reason for staying is clear in his mind, if he goes back now, all those that he cares for will be destroyed.

And as the Kraken rises from the ocean, maw agape and saltwater flying, Levi prepares to take on this legend...from within.

Though deep in the back of the ebony haired males mind, he couldn't help but notice...This thing was somewhat handsome.
