This is why you always have a magcargo that nows did and over heat, and that can release itself from it's pokeball if you call for it, but not before. Or a larvatar that is a few steps away from hatching.
That won't work as well as you think. First off, Alolan Exeggutor is a Grass/Dragon Mon, so Fire moves are neutral to it. Secondly, Magcargo isn't in Alola to begin with, so it would be hard to have a Magcargo on-hand anyway. And finally Larvitar is a Rock/Ground type, giving it a 4x weakness to Grass, which is Alolan Exeggutor's primary type.
Yes but is Alolan Exeggutor lava proof, if not then Macargo will be at over 5kf and well that can not end well.
Yes but you forget, the larvitar is not to save you, but to be a finally you die too. As it just hatched and is in a dark place with no trainer now, it will think it is under ground. What does a larvitar do when newly hatched and underground, it sticks it's stomach out of its chest and digest everything around it. It can digest volcanic rocks, so yeah Exeggutor is gonna have a larvitar emerge alien chest breaker style.
The thing about that is Pokemon logic does not translate well with real logic. If Magcargo is as hot as it claims (which is hotter than the freakin' sun), then the whole world would've been toasted ages ago just by it existing. Also, Magcargo can be touched, as the anime has shown, which, if that logic was true, the person or Mon touching it would be, at the least, missing a limb right afterward. So, no, it wouldn't work. Plus, Alolan Exeggutor can learn Fire moves, and the Dragon type is capable of tolerating lava, so Fire and potentially lava isn't a big concern for it. Plus, again, you would actually NEED Magcargo in the region itself to begin with, and Alola clearly lacks the species.
Also, Larvitar's egg could very well be digested before it hatches, and even if it isn't it can't bust out that easily, especially if it's a newborn. Larvitar also only eats dirt, so it can't eat its way out. If it was a Tyranitar then maybe it could do it, but as a newborn Larvitar it wouldn't have the power to even remotely fight back. After all, how strong is a newborn baby compared to an adult? It wouldn't work, so all that "logic" you put out doesn't make a lick of sense. Sorry, but none of that is possible.

It's a long wait, made even worse by the fact you know what's at the bottom

Yeah, that'll take a while. She's got a long time to think about how she ended up in this situation in the first place.
