The countdown to the New Year is happening! The group attending is rather small as most Heroes wanted to stay inside, but that didn't stop the Summoner, Alfonse, Sharena, Anna & Selkie from counting down outside.

After the short celebrations are over, the Summoner is tasked with taking the playful kitsune back to her room. A simple task, but one that ends up taking a very interesting turn~...

The new year has arrived & so has my first story for 2020! I feel like a broken record in saying that this was incredibly fun to write, but how can a story not be fun to both write & read when it involves the adorable ball of fox fluff, Selkie~!

God she donns traditional clothing so darn well, but y’know, she's a kitsune so of course she does. :P

I decided to try something a little different for the opening this time. Seeing as it’s done moments before the new year arrives in Askr, I thought it’d make perfect sense to have it open like a diary entry of the sort. I dunno, I quite like the idea & I might use it a bit more often for future stories. I suppose we’ll see soon enough.

I wish Velouria got a New Years alt too. I definitely would’ve included her in-person in this story if she did, but… oh well. I had to at least mention her at a few points in this story though~

Anyways, I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I had fun writing it~! I feel like Selkie herself would be my spirit animal - I long for the close kind of warmth, just like she does~
