The Poyella and the Piniola, the two parts of a beautiful, but very unfamiliar race. The structure of their society itself is vastly unlike human society.

Even in terms of gender, there are no boys or girls. There is only Poyella and Piniola.

Each Poyella colony consists of one Poyella, called the Superior, and anywhere from a handful to several thousand Piniola.

Where the Superior Poyella is anywhere from 120 to 300 cm (4 to 10 feet) tall, the Piniola, depending on their type, range from 5 to 60 cm (2 to 24 inches) tall.

There's more to say about them later: the way they communicate, the various roles within a colony, how they reproduce, their typical style of life, and how they interact with other races, but that's for another time!

I've been calling Syrup a prince up until this point, but he isn't truly a boy, nor is he a girl. Syrup is simply a Poyella, and that is all!

Lately, I've been preferring female pronouns for her. Syrup is my main OC, and I'm nonbinary, so sometimes it can kinda fluctuate.
