This is Chomper, a... uh, chomper. Tired of waiting for the zombies to slowly walk into his open maw, he's decided to pull up roots and seek out his own food. It seems he was hiding quite the surprise below ground, when it was just his head visible before hand.
He can still bury himself in the dirt whenever he likes, however-it's just more preferable to be a bit more proactive in searching for sustenance; there's more than rotting corpses to chew on, after all! Still, it can be nice to sink his groaning guts deep into the soil until he's digested whatever unfortunate sod ended up between his jaws.
Drawn by Dirtymac, and quite the exquisite rendition, at that! I'm very pleased with how he's come out!

I imagine the resemblance to an eggplant emoji he has going on below the belt isn't entirely coincidental
