My entry for this month's art challenge by Bright "The Vore of Tomorrow".
Vumia, the world Selene is from, was first contacted by humans in 2105 CE according to the human reckoning. In the current year of 2180 CE, humans have several permanent settlements on Vumia, and human locals have largely gotten used to the way that the insectoid races of Vumia eat humans and each other with relative frequency. Humans fresh from Earth like the businesswoman in the gray suit, however, are often shocked and frightened by such events.
In other regards, the native Vumians have adopted human practices to various extents. Some, like the locustkin in the background, still prefer to go about nude when possible, whereas others like Selene have integrated into human culture more fully. As you can see here, Selene works security in the public transit system of one of the major human cities on Vumia.

I really like the alien design and I think you did a really good entry for the prompt.

You can't really blame a new human for being that weirded out in a new culture, she'll get used to it. As for Selene, seems she enjoys the 'perks' of security duty!

I like your moth pred, and this world with voracious insectoids is definitely neat. Hope to see more of it :).

Thanks. I definitely plan on doing more in this world on the long run.
