while i'm in the middle of introducing new characters to y'all, here's another one! i sincerely hope that nobody here assumed i wouldn't make even one gen 8 pokemon gijinka just because i hadn't posted any of them yet, 'cause hoo boy am i fully prepared to prove you wrong ;> anyway, let's start with the absolute weirdest one possible because unfortunately i have bad taste and she's my most favorite baby
the fossil pokemon this generation sure are something, aren't they? after the initial 'what the hell am i looking at here' that everyone probably experienced to some extent, i was promptly overwhelmed by pity for the poor fucked up things. dracovish is the one that got the most love from the fandom by far, but i ended up being drawn to this goddamn pineapple upside down fish instead, which is probably the least popular of the bunch. something about how arctovish is almost passable looking until you realize its fucking head is on backwards gives me some depressing whiplash that the other ones, which are very immediately 'wrong' looking, don't really evoke. i eventually resolved that i was fond enough of the sorry little abomination to try my hand at a demi version, and it goes without saying that i was very determined to maintain the 'fucked up beyond all repair' aspect to the letter. ;v;
which leads us to dearest! that's not technically her real name, but since it's all she goes by these days, it might as well be. her lore diverges from what's canon in the games; instead of being the product of a shady doctor's batshit experiments in fossil resurrection, she was instead brought back wrong through much more genuine and unintentional error. the finer details of her story are a bit too tl;dr for me to try and hash out here (i tried, but i can only textwall so hard in my image descriptions before i get embarrassed... i already did enough of it with syntelle), so i'll just link her chat profile and call it good.
she isn't a character that's overwhelmingly intended for vore, honestly; while she's pretty big and definitely carnivorous, her horrible janked up neck anatomy barely permits her to eat and breathe properly, so swallowing anything sizeable is generally out of the question. (hard vore is still plausible and indeed quite canon for her, but it's more of a niche thing and dearest is pretty messed up appearance-wise, so i'm not counting on her having a lot of appeal in that department, lol.) i mostly made her for story stuff involving the mafia setting syc and i have been working on together, and i just happened to like her enough and draw her enough that i wanted to share her regardless. there's a shitload of characters involved in that story and i'll probably show off a few more of them soon... i haven't done any vore of them really either (though some of them are more suited for it, at least!), but some of you guys might be interested anyway? who knows \o/

that's kind of the point, y'know? ;v; i had to figure a way to put her head on upside-down, and that was more or less the only physical way i could pose her spine and still have it attach to the base of her skull. ... unfortunately, that also means it goes straight through her neck and everything in there ended up completely tangled and wrong. it beckons the question 'how is she even alive like that' and honestly? it's a mystery to everyone :'D

fun fact: The reason that the Galar fossil pokemon are done the way they are is because the original dinosaur fossils in England were originally constructed as half and half mishmashes as well.

I haven't played Pokemon in over a decade, but I'm glad GameFreak managed to top themselves in terms of weird and slightly body horror Pokemon designs. Poor girl...
