Despite her natural talent for demon summoning, Ilsa is dyslexic so studying texts was never a strong point for her. As a secondary effect of this, the first time she tried to summon demon infants she reversed the demon glyph in the otherwise symmetrical summoning rune. After several apparent failures she discovered that she had accidentally summoned 20 of the larvae into her basement instead of the floor she had drawn the circle on. As the first set of 2ft demon infants matured quickly into a set of imps (cunning only), she put them to work as her servants while she continued to experiment. Eventually she created a summoning circle on her palm to summon her demons on a whim. Unfortunately she reversed the glyph again and the first time she tried to summon a demon, she summoned it into her arm causing excruciating pain that made her pass out. When she awoke she found that the demon in her arm had bonded to her and transformed into a set of three tentacle-like fingers. The sclera of her eyes had also turned dark and her irises had taken on the red glow of the demon glyph as it appeared on the larvae.
