The Legend of Peran: Acacius is a fantasy story set in Peran starting in the 1990s. It follows the life of Acacius who is an experienced pilot from the U.S. Air Force that stumbles into Peran after getting lost in a storm while chasing an unknown contact over the skies of Alaska. In his efforts to find a way home, he meets Clio Ejderha who is a self-taught witch with incredible power.
This series is not crowd funded, and I intend to write for it as it fancies me, but if you want to support my work in any way you can either give directly by Paypal or find me on Patreon. Unlike my other stories however, I will not accept requests for this one. There is only one other person in the world who has any say in how this story goes, and they prefer to remain anonymous.
---------------
The two always meet on the shores of change.
I was going to wait until I finished work to post this but honestly I'm in a pretty shit mood for reasons not related to this writing and seeing comments about my work makes me feel better.

I like the character development. While they show behavior you might expect in a pred vs prey situation, they're not acting stereotypical.
"though my favorite is when they crawl in" does Cio imply willing prey here?

I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of the phrase "tailgut." Something about it just sounds... Wrong. Though, I suppose I'm not one to talk, considering I can't think of something else that better depicts the intended meaning. "Stomach" is a generic term that can confuse the reader if the character has more than one, and "Tail" is, similarly, a tad too simple and confusing, as a Lamia's tail is often more complex than just "a stomach."
Any thoughts? Or perhaps you've never thought it something to ponder?
