Shortly after Maru left her room, Abigail heard her yelling and cussing at her father, telling him he's a total dick for being so shady to everyone she wanted to befriend. As this went on, Abigail continued stuffing Maru's stuff into a few bags before she came back to her room, tears streaming down her face.

"You alright Mar?" Abigail asked, hugging her sobbing friend. Maru couldn't respond through all her crying but she returned the hug. "Let's finish packing and then we can be at Jose's before lunch, sound good?" Abigail asked, pulling from her and wiping away her tears. Maru nodded in response, her sobbing slowing as they continued packing everything up.

Meanwhile, Jose and Robin arrived back at his farm, greeted by the sight of Haley milking one of their cows. "Hi honey! Hi Robin", she greeted before getting up, running into her husband's open arms. "Hey baby," Jose said, "we're here to mark where I want the girls' new cabin to be at." Haley was confused, "The girls? Don't you mean Abby's new cabin?" Jose shook his head, "Nope, turns out Maru wanted to move in with her so we have two new farmmates!"

Haley's eyes were filled with excitement; "Yay yay yay!" she squealed, "We're gonna have so much help with our farm now!"

"Just make sure you two show them the ropes," Robin interjected, "Maru's a smart girl but she's not exactly the most capable farmer and Abby... well she's a little stubborn..."

"Not on my farm", Jose said, "you live on my farm, you work on my farm; I'm sure Maru will be fine here, hopefully she can even make something to make it easier on us-"

"And Abby better do what we say", Haley interjected, "or we'll kick her ass back to Pierre's!"

Jose nodded, "Couldn't have said it better myself."

Robin chuckled, "Then my little girl is in good hands and Abby is too;" she said, clapping her hands together, "Now then, where are we setting this baby up?"

As Jose showed Robin where to start building, Abigail and Maru had just finished packing everything up. "Phew you have a lot of stuff" Abigail remarked, "I'm surprised we fit it all in these bags." She glanced over at Maru, who was looking around her room with sadness in her eyes, walked over to her and gave her a hug from behind, causing Maru to blush as her big belly squished against her. "Nothing to be sad about Maru," she said, "you can always visit whenever and your parents are always on speed-dial so they're never too far away!"

Maru showed a brief smile before sadness once more washed over her face, "Yeah I guess..." she muttered. Abigail sighed and grabbed a bag in each hand, "Well let's get going, I wanna get to the farm before-", she said before being interrupted by her phone buzzing. Seeing Abigail try to grab it with her hands full, Maru grabbed it for her and read the message she was sent. Maru held the phone in front of Abigail so they both could read it.

Almost the spot set up
bring sleeping bags

"I don't have any sleeping bags, do you?" Maru asked, receiving a disgruntled sigh from Abigail. "Ugh no but I know who does.." her words filled with bitterness, "My dad has some in his storage room.", she finished through gritted teeth. Maru got a little worried, she'd seen Abigail upset before but she'd never seen her be this pissed off before. "Well you'll have me with you at least," she said, "plus we needed to swing by your place to get your stuff anyways so this just kills two birds with one stone!"

As they left Maru's house, Jose and Robin had just finished up setting up the markers for her to start building. "Alright then, thanks for your help and I'll get started tomorrow!" Robin said, a smile on her face, "And, don't tell my husband this but, I'm really glad you're doing this for the girls." Jose was a little surprised at those words, "Uh why exactly? Demetrius seemed none too pleased with your daughter wanting to move in."

"That's exactly it, not the part about my husband but about my little Maru wanting to do this and making the choice herself! She may be my little girl but she's also a grown woman."

"So you think that this is good because she's actively making a choice completely of her own will instead of bending a knee to her dad?"

"Yep, spot on, it's a small thing but a small thing that leads to bigger things!"

"Maybe you tell me more over lunch after the cabin is built?"

Robin chuckled, "It's a date, I'll be on my way home now." As she left, Jose walked over to Haley, who was inspecting the area around the placement markers; "Alright babe, we have one thing we have to do today before the day is up." He took her hand and they returned inside their house, Haley stood in the doorway as Jose scrounged around for something. After a couple minutes, Jose came back to Haley carrying a bunch of solar and dark essences, some prismatic shards and the remnants of Alex's jacket.

"Why do you have all that junk Jose?" Haley said, frowning at the sight of all the shards and the jacket piece. "We're gonna go fix the problem we caused last night.", he responde, dumping the contents in his arms into his backpack before grabbing her hand and taking her to his horse stable. "I know a woman who can probably help us revive Alex," his words setting Haley off.

"Why the fuck are we reviving that egotistical, rock-for-brains meathead?!", she shouted, "That stupid son-of-a-bitch would just end right back up where he last was!" "You think I haven't thought of that?", Jose snapped back, "Honestly I'd be fine with him being fat on your belly but I can't just let him stay gone and worry poor Evelyn and George." Haley's anger quickly dissipated, regret and sadness taking its place; "I-I.. I'm sorry honey, I didn't think of how they'd feel.. they must be so scared right now."

Jose hugged her, planting a soft kiss on her lips, "Don"t worry about it babe, that's why we're gonna try to fix this!" Haley nodded, a small smile returning to her face, as Jose helped her up on their horse and they rode off towards the swamp beyond the railroad tracks. As they reached the swamp, Haley covered her nose, "Ugh that smells awful!", she complained, "Who the hell would live HERE?" "Elphaba," Jose responded, "She's a witch who I became friends with one night."

"A what now?"

"A witch; like green, black hat and robes, flying broom, the whole shebang."

"How did you befriend her? How the hell did you even MEET her?"

"Long story short: she tried to hex the coop one night, I was fishing outside, heard and saw her, shot her down with my slingshot, we talked and now we're friends. Now let's keep it moving, the fumes are starting to burn my eyes."

As they made their way through the swamp, Abigail and Maru arrived at Pierre's. Pierre was reading through a magazine as they entered, the door bell ringing causing him to jolt up, "Oh it's just you..." his words bored and spiteful. Abigail rolled her eyes and gritted her teeth as Maru simply walked over to the shelves to avoid being dragged into the conflict. "Suck a dick Pierre, I'm here to get my stuff, get some sleeping bags and I'll be out of your hair for good" she said, making no attempt to hide her increasing anger.

"Really now? Found somewhere full of food to stuff your fat fucking face, you purple haired hog?", Abigail flew into a rage, charging towards the counter and punching him across his face. Maru ran to her side and did her best to hold her back, "Yeah I did so you and mom can finally stop bitching at me and I can live my own life," she screaming, angry tears streaming down her face as she repeatedly punched him, "you selfish, money hungry failure of a father! That's why I'm glad you're not my real dad!"

"Abby stop!" Maru pleaded, "Leave this asshole alone and let's just get what we came for!" Maru's pleas got through to Abigail and she let Pierre go, a look of unbridled rage never leaving her face. She reached in her pocket and threw $20 at him, "Here, this is for the sleeping bags," she grumbled, "now let me get my stuff in peace and you won't hear from me again." He took the money, placed it in his cash register and gestured for her to get out of his face, all without another word as they went into Abigail's room.

While they gathered up all of Abigail's belongings, Jose and Haley had finally arrived at the Witch's Hut. Haley felt a powerful feeling of dread wash over her; she never was one for exploration, even after they got married so seeing such an imposing sight, in an area she never knew even existed, filled her with fear. Jose noticed her hesitation and grabbed her hand, rubbing it with his thumb.

"It's alright honey," he said, his words calm and reassuring, "Elphaba will not hurt you, I promise." She tightened her grip on his hand before loosening up a bit and they entered the hut. As they entered, they were met by the sight of a tall, emerald green woman, hunched over a bubbling cauldron as she placed an unknown substance into it. "Ahhh Jose..." the woman croaked out, "To what do I owe the honor?", she glanced over at Haley, who tried to hide behind her husband, her large belly still very visible "And who is this lovely young lady?"

"Hey Elphy," Jose casually addressed her, his tone as laid-back as ever, making Haley even more nervous, "this is my lovely wife Haley, Haley this is Elphy." Haley poked her head from behind him and waved before quickly hiding her head back behind him. "I have a favor to ask: Can you revive someone for me?" he asked, much to Elphaba's surprise, "There was a confrontation last night and someone ended up biting the dust." Elphaba was shocked, she hadn't expected anything like this to happen in Stardew, "That's quite unfortunate... however I am, indeed, able to resurrect the dead."

Jose and Haley both sighed in relief, "Well that's good, what do we need to help you bring them back?" Jose asked as Elphaba flipped through her magical tomes. "Ah... here it is, I require 100 solar essences, 100 dark essences, 5 prismatic shards, 50 eridium bars and a part of the deceased to restore them from." she said, Jose wiping the sweat off his brow as she listed off the ingredients. "Well I have most of that I think... but what constitutes as 'part of them'?" he asked, unsure if the jacket piece would be enough.

"Like a lock of hair, a finger, anything of that nature deary."

"Uhhh... well... all I have is this jacket fragment, does this work?'"

"What happened to the deceased party's body?"

Jose moved Haley out from behind him and jiggled her belly in front of her, causing Elphaba to raise an eyebrow and Haley to let out a small burp and aroused moan. "All right here" he said before explaining everything that happened to her. "What a bizarre set of events," Elphaba said, her eyes focused on Haley's gut, "but I believe we can make due, using her and the fabric together to restore him, though the results may not be fully as intended."

"Will it hurt?", Haley asked, her body trembling in fear as she asked.

"Absolutely not, you may feel a tingle at most but you will not be hurt one bit, I guarantee it deary." Elphaba replied, helping Jose compose her.

"Alright well I have the solar and darks essences, the jacket piece and the shards." Jose said, placing the materials on the table next to him, "but I gotta run home to get the bars so I'll be right back ladies."

"Be warned Jose, I cannot do this spell willy-nilly, even if you have all the ingredients. This requires an incredible amount of magic and energy so I may only do this once in a long while."

Jose nodded before kissing Haley on the cheek and leaving the hut. As he quickly made his way back home for the bars, Abigail and Maru finished packing up Abigail's things. As they were about to pick up the bags to leave, Caroline entered her room with three hot cups of tea. "Hello girls, I made us some tea before you go.", she said, clearly nervous after seemingly hearing the fight she and Pierre had. Abigail scowled at her mother but Maru gave her a soft smile and took one of the cups.

"Take your shitty tea and fuck off." Abigail grabbed her bags and hamster cage and shoved her way past Caroline, nearly toppling her over. Caroline went to stop her, "Abi-" her words stopped in their tracks as Abigail slammed her door shut. She sighed and sat on her bed, Maru sitting beside her. "It wasn't my idea to kick her out..." Caroline muttered, tears welling up in her eyes, "Pierre flew into a frenzy over his stock, she barely made a dent in how much he has..."

Maru took a sip of her tea, "Mmmm this tea is pretty good Caroline," she said, attempting to shift the topic. "Thank you sweetie..." Caroline said, her words barely audible followed by a deep sigh. "Pierre is a total douchebag," Maru said bluntly, "he always ever talks about profits and expanding his store and all that.", she continued, "I'm not surprised he exploded at her and kicked her out."

"It doesn't make it right though!" Caroline exclaimed, "I should've backed her up and put my foot down when Pierre kept yelling but I didn't."

"Why didn't you then? Why let poor Abby be screamed at, cussed out and finally kicked out?"

"Because...," Caroline sighed, "because I was afraid I'd make things worse."

"Well your inaction led to her being kicked out but don't worry, she's found a new home and will be out of your hair soon enough.", Maru quickly finished her cup of tea, grabbing the remaining bags, and got up to leave. Before she left, she turned to Caroline and thanked her for the tea; being stopped by her as she went to open the door.

"Please tell Abigail to come visit sometime, I want to see my little girl despite what Pierre wants."

"I'll tell her but don't expect her to do so. Before I leave though, I want to know: Is Pierre her real father?"

That question caused Caroline to go pale as her eyes widened, she bit her lip before looking down and shaking her head. "Thank you again for the tea Caroline, I'll see you around.", Maru said as she left Caroline alone in Abigail's now-barren room.
