This has been a fun, long-coming, self-awaited series to write. It's been pretty taxing, though, so I'm glad to bring my characters back to the familiar environment of the Core Realm.
An excellent ending for a fantastic chapter! I can only imagine what awaits Lauren and co. in the future, but if Mario has taught me anything we may have a jungle or space-themed chapter coming up next. I look forward to reading the next installment!
Axy held his own as a comedian and foil to Lauren; I've definitely warmed up to him if I haven't already.
Rita's loathing of all magical beings is now properly contextualized, albeit I still don't think it's justified.
Quite happy to be able to mark Jairofgeit on the list of "chill grand sorceresses". Literally, I guess.
Still not sure how I feel about La Presidenta. I guess it speaks to her dissatisfaction with the position that I still have a hard time seeing it. Feels kinda shark-jumpy, if I'm not bastardizing the term. How long did you have her secret presidency planned out?
So playing favorites with mortality is what Lauren really means by embracing her role as death goddess.
Guess it's time to learn how the timeline's fucked up this time.
Another big one; about see if there's a character limit.
There's like a dozen names for that kind of creature. Blame each of the Germanic and Celtic languages being just different enough from their siblings so that a name for a mythological being has one letter/phoneme changed from the language five miles down the road.
Most people do when it comes to the meta-vore scenes. Even I have to spend a lot of brain power every time I write these just to make sure the physics work. I think it was a little easier when it was just two with Lauren and Rita, but I've got to raise the stakes each time, lest the pattern starts going stale. You can blame one of Marloweny's pieces for putting the idea of meta-unbirth in my head in the first place.
They rhyme in mine. Although, when I do wordplay, it's more for humor's sake than worldbuilding consistency, given that the language of the Core Realm isn't English.
Skyrim is my favorite game, but I can't play it too often. Across the original PC release and the special edition and the few times I played it on cousins' and a friend's Xbox 360s, I probably have over one-hundred days worth of time clocked in on that game. I have over two-thousand on the original. Each time I play, the gap between playthroughs gets wider. It's been a year since my last. Maybe on my next one I'll finally download Devourement.
If you're concerned about Ginny's name, just wait until you meet the High Priestesses again. That's a blunder and a half on my part. You'll know it when you see it, I hope.
Glad you enjoyed GAG. I think it's where I really found my footing.
Speaking of Axy, thoughts on Axzcleminth's form?
Exactly as intended with Rita.
It's much easier to befriend Grand Sorceresses than kill them. It's almost like they're more a bunch of abandoned sisters with too much on their plate and too many expectations to fill instead of the devilish entities they're made out to be, hm?
Maybe she was near the end of PL, but more likely near the end of GEO and definitely by early SD.
Lauren is a hypocrite, as many like to point out. That's something she'll have to overcome, eventually. Out of story, it gives me a way to do physically more with the characters.
Yep, I saw your description edits vis-a-vis "Courtney".
I don't begrudge Lauren for playing favorites at all! It's a step towards Universal Eternal Infinity, the Fire That Burns Forever, the Engine That Never Runs Out Of Fuel!

Que them arriving in a post-modern core world, with the Potion maker herself their only lead as to what happened while they were gone. >:D

That would be funny.

Nice to see axy coming out of this with some bussy. My question is the extent of this imortality. And does it cover Melody and/or Chelsea

That will a be covered next time on "Can Lauren Catch A Break?"

Hell yeah, this arc was really good actually!

I'm sure it's fine.

It does in mine, too. Are you pronouncing "Laury" more like "lorry"?

Will Jairofgeit be popping into Gladalf's home to give her the news?
