A continuing collaboration between coalwhite and myself! Th last few weeks have been busy, so I'll apologize now for not getting the next chapter out. The challenge of having the whole book written between us is going back and editing the nitty gritty, so it's hard to find the time/inspiration these days.
Still, hope you enjoy this chapter! Gets into some darker territory this time around as we see more of the world.

If anything, id say she just kinda proved that Adam isnt safe with her. That temper/pride seems rather dangerous around people, even if shes familiar with them.

Honestly this one feels worse than the others. It kind of removes all thought that Maya actually has a "no eat" list of people. She only has an "eat later" list.
I had originally thought the series was setting up for Adam to be a permanent companion, but this showed that no matter how long their relationship, one mistake in a conversation could still be fatal for him.
I don't really see any way forward for their relationship from here.

Yo just remembered this story, I know it's a longshot but will we see anymore of this? It would be a waste to write 200 pgs and not release it don't you think?
