(For some reason I just CANNOT seem to get back into the rhythm of using DA, so you know what: screw it, I'm gonna just read your stuff & comment here for the time being. I blame that stupid website overhaul they did, which I STILL can't get used to)
“Why?!” she yelled, at the forest and life in general. “Why is this whole fucking world out to get me? What have I ever fucking done to you?” Her voice rose to a furious shriek of frustration. “Just leave me alone!”
The wet forest all around her responded only with the faint rustling of leaves, the soft dripping of water, and cheerfully indifferent birdsong.
Elli isn't always the most traditionally sympathetic of characters, but as someone who lives in a place where nature tries to kill you with stinging insects/plants/storms, I can actually really relate! xD
The little talk where everyone tried to decide who would be the best match for who was about the most endearing thing ever. Holly would have had lots to say about Mina's romantic prospects if she had been in earshot!
The hunt/escape with Nevenez was tense and quite compelling! I like how both she and Tinatalan thanked their respective deities following the encounter. Certainly different perspectives on the same situation there, which is always interesting to see. xD

There are some places, such as Australia and Florida, that just clearly aren't meant for human habitation. :p
Ah, they'll have to consult Holly, then! Poor Mina. I imagine she'd get *very* flustered if friends tried to hook her up with someone. :D
