Near vore moment from the rather odd little 1956 educational cartoon from Warner.
In this a shoemaker is assisted by elves in improving his business, (the elf king is Elmer???) and the assistant sent keeps getting changed into a mouse whenever a specific word is spoken and cant change back unless speaks another. Each time the elf-mouse is chased by Sylvester the cat and nearly succeeds in eating him.
This was one of at least three of these business ed cartoons. The other I know of was called By Word of Mouse which also has Sylvester in it. The third one also with Sylvester in it and no mice called Heir-Conditioned I believe.

Apparently the three cartoons of this set were all funded by the Alfred P Sloan Foundation who promote education in science, technology and economics.

I've seen worse attempts to get kids to learn. :)
