Bonus points if you can tell what this was inspired by X3

So this beast had the power to enter the planet's atmosphere and opportunity and knowledge to know more about the world, other species and their lore, but preferred to feed on their children in a bestial urge, even taking into account the boy tried to blandish it with treats?

Oh, that is despicable… Heh, I love it!

Well, this Doritos advertisement was really silly, but it was funny too! I see how you two decided to create a story out of it, and I must say you succeeded in it!

The moral of the story is: 1. Pay more attention to children if they tend to run off or commit senseless acts. 2. Obey your parents if you know what is good for you. 3. Do not trust xenos. In any context.

When a creatures gotta it has to eat, and humans are easy food. Honestly the boy should have known that to an alien life form he's probably looked at the in the same level we look at pigs and cows. X3 just easy meat. Albeit meat that can try to reason with and ply you.

Moral of the story is dont fuck with creatures both larger, smarter and hungrier than you are. It ends badly. <3 altho considering ive also wrote stories about kids being eaten by their sleepwalking moms, their own dogs and even their transformed werewolf brother. Maybe the moral is just dont be a kid at all, it ends badly. X3

In this world a kid is a dangerous area of work. Not many of these heroes survive to come to their full potential and blossom. Rest in Piece, delicious compact meals.

Well, in that case the moral may be simplified even further, because sometimes even in vore tales people hunt huge beasts and do not end up in a bad scenario. It is: "do not happen to be a character, whose creator decided to assign thee as an "unwilling permavore prey", especially in bind with a predator without definite principles. It never endth any other way then one way thy writer-God decided to describe, then inscribe and post". Most accurate, I believe, is it not? ????

I believe it is. X3 what's that old adage? "do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are tasty and good with ketchup."

Exactly that, I agree!

Well, that was a great discussion, I enjoyed it very much! Thank you for it, stay safe and healthy, have much fun celebrating New Year soon!

I've heard that a lot. Who first coined it? Do we know?

Internet knows, as it seems. Here is what I got just by checking the quote in Google, take a look, if you wish:

I'm not sure "being a kid" can be considered working, considering that nobody puts "I exist" down on a job application form. Nevertheless, you are correct. Being a kid is pretty dangerous.

Yes, that was actually the point of my joke. "Being a child" to "area of work" is the same thing as "The Ultimate DOOM 1993" to "literature". DOOM is not a very good book, in fact, it is not a book at all.

Yet we really cannot disagree: "children tend to get in all sorts of pickles". Unpalatable truth it is.

Silly? I guess, although I actually found the original commercial kinda disturbing in its own way, especially the way you can hear the boy's muffled screaming coming from inside the creature (which could be either arousing or terrifying, depending on one's predilections). It isn't often you see children get killed in commercials.

Well, I have a different point of view. My logic is: "if something can be real, it may be pictured in art", and advertisements may be considered art, especially when they are a film with nice (in my humble opinion) graphics. All the difference is they have much product placement, because it is their primary function, after all.

Therefore, I analyze: "Can a child theoretically get devoured?" — "Positive" => "It may be pictured and it is not that disturbing". The same goes for a child getting killed. Should they picture something really non-existent and therefore weird in comprehension, I might have been freaked out depending on the context, but in our case they pictured something that looked realistic. Moreover: since it was implied child may be saved by sacrificing more Doritos to the alien and negotiating with the creature (even if it is a hard negotiation in a hard "bloodborne-style" way), it is not that shocking. At least to me.

Yes, the child may have trauma, but in the end if he is relatively safe the situation is just goofy and kind of laughable. I would laugh if I nearly had gotten killed but was saved in the end, and many people would, as my experience tells me.

I hope I succeeded in satisfying your curiosity on that matter and my train of thought did not bore you. However, they are some inspiring and thoughtful talks we have in this comment section!
