The Not-So-Little Mermaid By SirEdwardthe3rd -- Report

What if, and hear me out, instead of saving Eric during the ship wreck, she accidentally ate him and enjoyed it? It would undoubtedly lead her to become a mythical beast that would prey on any creature that would dare enter her watery domain. Or not, who knows?

I was inspired by  A0IISA ‘s pictures of Disney Princesses to draw Ariel in a style similar to his own. If you’re reading this, sorry if I accidentally stole an idea!
Anyways, I really like this style of shading. Let me know what you think of it in the comments!

Shading looks great. It’s a bit inconsistent with the background’s shading, but I won’t picky. Lucky Ariel don’t have to worry about cramps.

That’s fair, I was mainly just focused on Ariel. Thanks, and I’ll make sure to fix the shading in future pics!

Great work as usual! That scenario you described is actually quite in line with the actual myths regarding mermaids.

This looks really good! The different shading style looks great. I think the only thing throwing me off is the dark line at the top of the shadow on the belly because my brain is telling me the shadow should fade more gradually.

Thanks a really minor criticism though because I actually think this is one of your best peices so far!

Thanks! Also, i know the dark line looks kind of weird, but for whatever it seems to help the drawing seem a tad bit more realistic. I have no idea why, though.

Ah, I do see what you mean actually, looking at it again. It’s weird how details like that can make a big difference. I find that it happens with pixel art too. Anyway, it was just something that stood out to me but good art anyway.
