This happened entirly because we got talking about character design and how hard it would be to create gimmick fighters based on sea-creatures without overlapping, soo I kinda pushed myself as a challenge.
All characters here were made for sym, he's free to use them or be inspired by them or whatever - The theme I came up with was "Tropical Island or Water Park"

1 - Shark Swimmer girl: you gotta have a shark pred. Really like how she turned out
2 - Octopus Diver: really wanted a unique design, sort of Bioshock lite since Splatoon would be too on-the-nose
3 - Seahorse: realised snackdown has no horse preds, so just thought "hey you know what would be funny? LITERALLY just some horse in a shitty suit"
4 - Angler fish - though a good gimmick would be a fighter that essentially forces you to fight in the dark
5 - 7 Capricorns: spent a shitton of time on these designs, my original thought was "Hey, you know what would be cool? If the seven little kids from the classic children story were capricorns, and assited their mom in fights!", but oh god designing them all took SOO damn long I really should have just stuck to the "The goat fighter was actually a capricorn all along" simpl idea instead
6 - Basically Bently: wanted a water-inflation gimmick and chose a turtle, not exactly happy with it but it works
7 - Axoltol: because of cource I'm goign to have one, but I don't think Axolotls would be a fun fight so maybe a NPC?
