Whew. The summer solstice of 2021 was yesterday. Can you believe it? I can't. Time continues to be warped these days. Where I am here in the U.S., the pandemic appears to be coming to an end and we're starting to transition back to a semblance of normal life. I know that is certainly not the case in the rest of the world...this fight is far from over. And I'm wishing all of you the best through these labored times.

Labored...that's a really appropriate word for me to use here. I'm going to be quite frank with you all. These past 15 months have been the most difficult of my life. Even most of 2021 saw my mental state in a place where I wasn't really sure if I'd recover. Between a year of isolation, having caught covid and being the sickest I'd ever been, with months of suffering from lingering symptoms...I truly thought I'd slid down a hill that there was no climbing back up. There was a point where I had to stay with friends and was literally too afraid to return to my own home because the thought of being alone for another moment filled me with more dread than I can express.

Thankfully, I had some truly incredible support, and I've made great strides on the path to recovery.

It's really tough for me to open up about this, because...well, I want you all to have faith that the content I produce won't be stopping. Which it won't!! Even through the most intense hardships, I worked my ass off to make sure a quality comic was released each week, and put plans in place to ensure they would for months to come even if the WORST disaster happened. And even more, I had the release of my first Audio Vore Comic (AVC), which was a HUGE success, thank you SO much!

Truth be told, I was super burned out at the end of 2019, right before the pandemic began. I was supposed to be taking a creative break so I could refill the well and then get back to bringing you excellent content from ME, comics that I drew for you. That break didn't end up happening because the world had different plans for us. When I was stuck at home with nothing to do to help the days pass, I turned to work for refuge, even though I was already burned out and the weight of the beginning of the pandemic (not to mention civil unrest) was bearing down on me.

Eventually, I broke. I had no choice but to put the pen down and allow the rest of my team to carry the torch while I did what I needed to take care of myself. And they've done an excellent job of that. They've taken every story I've written and brought it to life magnificently. I'm very proud of them, their work, and we're all thankful for YOU who have continued to help us through all of this. A lot of my team relies on me, and thusly you, to keep food on their tables, a roof over their head, and to stay safe and healthy.

While I never stopped running the show, it hasn't been easy for me to be benched the way I have. I recognize you haven't seen a lot of new comics from me personally in quite some time. I know they've been sparse. And...they will continue to be a little sparse as I ease myself back into creating the awesome vore content I know you adore. I've recently gone back and looked at the comics I've drawn over the past several years, and man...I can't wait to bring you more. I really can't! I want to do better, go further, push the envelope the way I always have. I know the comics that I make, the comics that *Nyte* draws, are special to all of you, and they're special to me too. Which is why I hope you'll understand that I needed downtime in order to make sure those special comics keep coming. Without me, not only are there no Nyte comics...but there are no comics at all. So my number one priority is making sure I'm in the best shape possible, FOR YOU.

With all that said, I hope you'll please be patient a little bit longer. I have a lot planned; really cool stories I can't wait to draw. They'll be coming soon enough. And in the meantime, not a single beat will be missed, with amazing content coming out each week from artists you know you can rely on.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your understanding and patience. Dinner isn't quite ready yet...but it will be soon. :)

Love you, friends.

The sheer quantity of stuff you and the team have pumped out over the years is incredible, no one reasonable would ever hold it against you for wanting or needing any sort of break

Firstly, *thank you* for the kind words. And secondly, I know nobody reasonable would hold it against me, but I still felt the need to explain what's been going on. Just want to be transparent with all of you who have helped get me here. :)

I caught COVID last year, lost both my jobs, and had to confront my alcoholism while struggling through severe depression. This struggle is real homie. Take care of yourself and stay sane. 2020 took a toll on all of us that we'll remember for the rest of our lives. You are not alone.

I'm so sorry. That is an incredibly rough go of it as well. I hope that you, too, are recovering and taking care of yourself.

Certainly has been a rough one indeed. Good to hear you pulled through! I had plenty of personal problems that I struggled with, had two mental breakdowns last year that absolutely crippled my artwork. That was a slow process to recover from as work didn't help when things picked up and I was left exhausted. It was a struggle just to wash dishes before/after work or even take a shower after work. All I wanted to do was watch youtube and sleep.

Thank you! I'm sorry you've had such a rough go of it as well. :( I certainly know what it feels like to not be able to do even the smallest things. I hope you're feeling better.

Well of course you're not ready yet. You just had such a delicate and filling meal :D

Jokes aside, take your time. I am pretty sure your audience will be here when you "return" :)
