Pattern seems to be a ghost for each party member, in order of introduction? With Amelin being Nadalia's ghost. Remains to be seen if side-characters count, but I wouldn't bank on it since some of them aren't murderers.

something something i have been refraining from posting it, but i have an off-the-rails theory i don't really believe based on the fact that "nine siblings" as /CF/ says is not intrinsically a guarantee that the ninth sibling is kate, as siblings can be lost and adopted
now i do not believe this theory because i'm absolutely certain, based on previous statements, that kate will be rejoining the host and it's only a matter of getting there. but damn if it isn't a tempting line to spy misdirection in
