An image or Rayne Tanner, AKA Abyss, sucking an unfortunate man up with her bellbottoms. Even when she's in her "civvies", Rayne's clothes are still mostly made up of the Abyss symbiote, with the exception of a few items like shoes and outerwear. So, since her pants are just a shapeshifted portion of the symbiote, they're perfectly capable of devouring someone with a leg hole. Before long, this man will be entirely engulfed in the trouser leg, which will seal closed at the ankle behind him, at which point he may either get digested by the symbiote while hanging alongside Rayne's leg, or get shunted upwards towards her belly, likely entering via Rayne's vagina, since the symbiote has transformed that into just as capable of a digestive organ as her stomach.

Rayne is upset and apologizing to the guy because, despite her trying to channel her symbiote's predatory urges towards criminals, she sometimes can't stop them from attacking innocents - like this guy. As it happens, she was actually on a blind date with him when he decided to steer them through an empty alleyway as a shortcut on the way back to Rayne's apartment. Unluckily for him, the Abyss symbiote decided that the isolation provided an excellent opportunity to make him disappear with no one being the wiser. And now that they've gotten this far, Rayne has no choice but to finish the act, lest he tell someone what happened.

An interesting bit of trivia: Prior to bonding with the Abyss symbiote, Rayne was actually a vegetarian, and even now, with the exception of the people and occasional other live creatures she consumes to satisfy the symbiote, she prefers to stick to plant-based fare.
