Despite Belinda's claims to the contrary, the bodies of Scaly Broods are quite marvelous. Not only are they capable of the many traits their forebears display, such as venomous fangs, inhuman strength, and regenerative properties, but they have minor abilities as well. These include egg-laying, thermal vision, and yes, breathing with their mouth full. After all, how else can you talk while your prey squirms in your throat, thrashing about and making a racket, except by using your glottis?
Instead of taunting her prey or treating them like meat, however, Belinda chooses to apologize. After all, she liked Miles: he was a generous guy who often tossed money into her pan, he promoted her phony fortuneteller business as Madam Bello, and he even treated her to a meal once a week. In turn, Belinda repaired tears in his clothes, cobbled his shoes, and did chores around his home. The life of a bachelor might be full of freedom, but some men just don't know how to keep house.
Belinda even considered dating Miles. He was a sweet guy, much nicer than most humans and not just looking for sex with an 'exotic creature' like her. But when he spilled BBQ sauce all over himself and Belinda got too enthusiastic cleaning him up, well, one thing led to another and... you know.
B-But its totally okay! Belinda will let him out once she's had a proper meal. Sure, throwing up food is hard for snakes and Belinda rarely spares prey, but Miles is an exception. He's practically her best friend, no way will she digest him. Miles will be totally safe, but for now, Belinda wants to savor... this... feeling...
Let's pray she doesn't fall asleep or lose track of time, eh? ;)

As a pred, Belinda doesn’t like hurting people, much less friends. She’ll apologize until she’s purple in the face if you let her. But her predatory instincts are too strong and Belinda isn’t that great with impulse control…

I’m sure Miles will be FINE… might be soaked to the bone and his clothes digested, but Belinda’s belly is too warm and soft to hate the experience either. You can just feel your troubles… melt away…

I know, right!? Toxic Toothpick drew them so well, they’re almost animated XD and given Belinda’s dialogue and expressions, she’s more worried about what she’s doing than Miles’ struggle, so Belinda could swallow him any time ;)

Hehe, I actually imagine Belinda is high strung. She’s full of anxiety and fearful of scaring others. That’s why she acts shy, is apologetic, and indecisive about eating Miles.
But yes, I do have a Scaly Brood friend in mind for Belinda. She’s a Gila Monster by the name of Miranda. I just have to catch DE Belton at a good time to commission her, since I feel like only he can do Miranda justice.

Belinda’s neck can stretch to hold whole prey, but I won’t lie, her neck length varies from artist to artist. Ideally the base length to be a foot long or the length of her head.

Oh absolutely. Part of the charm, DE Belton explained, is that the prey is technically safe: Belinda can keep the prey in her throat for hours or seconds. The situation can be very cozy and wholesome, or stress the razor-thin edge the prey lives on, hovering over a acid-filled belly.
Its an idea that can appeal to different factions of vore-fanatics, and I love it for that.
