Breathtaking short. Lovely cadence to the writing. "He sank deep" struck me just right, and the many details left me aching to know more. Where do the tendrils come from, and how do they work? "Spiritual digestion"---what's that about? All in all it evokes a feeling of fascination with a predator, an increasingly rare sensation, so thank you for writing this piece!

I know what you mean. I've got a load of shorts and vignettes like this, unposted for similar reasons. Maybe different reasons too---some are too silly. Got wierdly hooked on vorish Limericks, but not sure what the market on a soul vore Limerick cycle is :D

At the moment I'm enjoying working through your back catalogue. Your style is gorgeous and very evocative. Gratified to hear you like my comments.
