Sir Brant of Bluerose closes in on a notorious thief that has been stealing from villages near Bluerose Castle. Before he delivers her to justice, the duo are suddenly faced with numerous dangerous situations, but that does not compare with events that transpire immediately afterwards, and a revelation that could plunge the Lucentus Province into further chaos.

They were described as being mindless after being steeped in leyline energy. So these creatures are technically victims who can't be reasoned with, at least from what we know. Unless there are intelligent abominations that direct and order the mindless ones, sorta similar to Darkspawn in Dragon Age...
