Mismatched Monstrosity (1/2) By doomfister -- Report

The phrase safety in numbers was normally accepted as empirical fact by ponies, due to their value of friendship, and ancestral evolution as herd animals, but in truth, that illusion of security only stretched so far when it came to the predators that prowled Equestria’s more wild and untamed areas. Hydra, manticore, even a malicious dragon of a certain size all it would take for a simple stroll in the woods to take a tragic turn into a primal horror show, as a long-forgotten food chain decided to reassert itself upon the placid populace. The average equine’s instincts long since softened by platitudes of comradery and unity, leaving them vulnerable to the things that go bump in the night, as such beasts had no qualms in quashing these coddling concepts with the law’s red in tooth and claw.

It was this rough reality that three members of the Apple family unfortunately encountered when a mismatched monstrosity sprang upon them on what had up until then been a rather quaint summer day. A cushy complacency catching up with the foolish mares, who had thought it was a good idea to take a shortcut through the Flame Geyser Swamp, even when a little common sense would have rudely reminded them that such a detour was a deluded decision. The earth ponies more excited about their annual family reunion, and any lingering doubt was discarded by the fun festivities awaiting them at their destination. Because of this, they were completely unprepared for the beast that burst out of the bushes behind them with a thundering roar from its trio of terrifying heads.

The creature was a Chimera, and a hungry one at that, as in the space of a second it was on top of the panicking ponies like an avalanche of muscle. Apple Bottom and Florina Tart barely able to let out scared squeals of shock, before their wailing heads were enveloped in the wet dampness of a pair of ravenous maws. A soggy spray of humid saliva instantly matting their colourful coats with a coasting chug, as a tandem pair of powerful peristaltic pulses engulfed the equine up to their shoulders in to the accommodating threshold of their respective tight throats. Fiddlesticks a little faster than her kin, though this did little to stop a swiping paw from knocking her to the floor before the mare even had the thought to run. The blow causing the earth pony to drop her treasured instrument, which instantly shattered into a mangled pile of firewood when it hit the path with a traumatizing twang.

The mare having no time to mourn the death of her music though, as with a few charging gulps she was up to her waist in spittle glazed gullet. The three flailing females little more than fodder for the Chimera, which was wasting no time in bolting down the curvaceous chevaline it had so easily captured. The ensnared equine trying to fight, but it did little to slow their assailants' ingestive intents, as regardless of how ferociously they fidgeted and twitched, they could do little to slow their steady ooze into the undulating expanse of the looming oesophagus. It was over in a matter of minutes, as Fiddlesticks could only watch in petrified fear as her relatives were reduced to squirming swellings visibly seeping towards what was likely to be a shared stomach. Their farmgirl flesh reduced to just filling food to satiate the inescapable appetite of this abomination, which was rapidly wolfing down its hysterical haul of tasty treats.

ULP…

Apple Bottoms round rump doing nothing to save her, as out of the corner of her eye Fiddlesticks watched the mare vanish beneath a coat of goat fur. To her side Florina was slipping into her own snug snakeskin dress, though Fiddlesticks could barely see as a set of sharp feline fangs slotted behind her ears, leaving the mewling mare’s crying face framed by the predator’s pearly whites. The yellow mare quivering as she felt the gradual inertia tilting its head back, as the encased equine subconsciously knew that it intended to use gravity to help it cap off its whimpering conquest. The beast leaning back, and with an audible glug, she was sent sluicing towards the stomach. The wriggling mass of distraught mare meat unceremoniously reunited with her ilk in the claustrophobic cavity of the gut, where the three mares intertwined in a mound of tangled limbs and jibbering lunchmeat.

The dank darkness reflexively clamping down to contain their writhing ruckus, as the groaning gastric chamber began to grind against its feminine feast. their limited space growing ever more cramped, as the bulge in the Chimera’s belly contracted in preparation to process its pony banquet. Fiddlestick’s delicate senses assaulted by a combination of the stale air of her tart tomb, and the tactile touch of ample anatomy as the equine found her personal space eroded by the floundering bodies of her frightened family. The Chimera stroking the swell of its stomach with a passing curiosity, as it felt the shuddering shapes of its supple snacks which would soon be little more than a bubbling soup pumping through its bowels. A few stern squeezes more than enough to teach the stowed ponies of their proper place, and it did not take long for their stifled struggles to cease, as the eaten equine suffocated and gave in to their digestive destiny. These last smothered spasms going unnoticed by the engorged Chimera, as its goat's head just let out a sated belch, as the lethargy of a food coma urged the bloated beast to doze off. The creature’s eyelids growing heavy as its frame focused its blood flow towards its digestive system, allowing it to prioritize the task of breaking down the marinating pony protein brewing in its belly into useful nutrients. The copious calories contained within the effeminate biomass it’s to use at its leisure, so with a yawn, the Chimera groggily rose to its feet, and with a somewhat ungainly waddle from its processing passengers set off back to its lair to sleep off its large lunch….

A lemon done as a reward for one of my patreons  dimalad . For this month they wanted a story to go along with a chimera piece they commissioned from  Ribbonfemale . A direct follow-up to this image and accompanying story can be found at the link below:

Oops didn't finish my response properly.
I wanted to add on that their body type would be interesting to see more often when they have all three of them eating at once.

Aye, the Chimera is exotic, i think that is one of the reasons people have not dabbled in it, as its rather complicated to draw. Then again the tatzl wurm was also forgotten, so it might just be that most people did not delve into the later seasons :)
