You back away, towards the door. "No... I should go." She jerks up, staring at you. "No... wha? You're obviously an outsider. You won't stand a chance out there. Stay here until your head's better at least. I've lost far too many friends already..." she trails off. She runs into the kitchen and fetches a loaf of bread. "Here. Eat." You stare at the food a moment, and then, hungrily, you comply. She nods slightly in approval. "It's not safe outside. You see? Here it is safe and I have more than enough to sustain the both of us." You nod, tearing into the bread. After you've finished, she places a hand on your shoulder. "Tell me... we don't get many outsiders here. Where are you from? How did you come to be wandering alone in the woods? I still can't figure out what you were doing there. Or how you're alive."
