The sound of running water nearby awakens your senses deep within, a sense to swim, to feel cool water flow across your body. There’s something about that feeling that you crave more than anything, well nearly. There is one more feeling, an intense craving deep within that the likes of your body had never experienced. Another change perhaps?
This new change eats at your other senses overpowering them, you feel the need to eat, to stuff food down your throat and fill the empty cavern of your stomach. This feeling is so new and yet you love it, its so powerful, it makes’ you powerful.
Grabbing at the grass you pull yourself forwards towards the sound of the running water, your effort is not wasted for a river comes into view and quite clearly its filled with living creatures for large fish jump from the water only to disappear back into the surf. Fish would make a good meal, a fine one indeed but would they really sate this new found hunger?
Pulling yourself into the cool refreshing water you revel as it rushes across your body, the mermaid has returned to her element and you grave for food.
Licking your lips you scan the clear water, fish are everywhere but why hunt fish?, perhaps there is something more….filling further down river.
